I am still basking in the Euphoria of the Blog visitors about to wed...I feel so proud of myself for all these hookups...

I sometimes wonder if you all that have hooked up from this Blog think of me before or after gbenshing,during altercation and stuff and if you blame or praise me sometimes....I dey ask cos i sneeze a lot h...hehehehehehehhehehehehehehehehehe

THE BAD SIDE OF CHILD HAWKING


I have a niece by marriage, who grew up with my in-laws because her mom gave birth to her at "home", meaning young and out of wedlock, so my mother in law (the grandmother) had to take care of her from birth. 

The mother got married and went ahead to give birth to other children, while the grandmother was happy and content nurturing her (the granddaughter).


After 13 years, the mother decided she wanted her child back..... 

Why after all these years, we all asked? After your mother had done the hard work, and this girl is of age to do certain chores, you now want her? What do you have to offer this girl? (nothing oh, because she is seriously suffering in her home, constantly in need to feed her other children and send them to school). So why remove this child from the "security" she has known all her life, to suffering?
With all the begging, threats, reasoning, hoofing and poofing, she didn't budge, and took her "child" away with her.


The next thing we heard was that, this very intelligent girl was now out of school, hawking, and practically on the streets (she was even offered to people as a house help) .
My heart was broken, because I knew that somehow, things will go downhill for his poor child, due to the wrong decision of her mother, and except there is divine intervention, history will repeat itself.


And sadly, as I predicted, this young well-behaved girl became something else, and started exhibiting a lot of horrible characters. The streets and it's experiences had changed her.


So many waters passed under the bridge, and to cut the long story short..... She was impregnated, and presently living with the young man that "did the deed".


You see, I don't have anything against hawking because people find themselves in situations that make it the only way to survive especially in this our clime, but CHILD HAWKING is a No No.
How many times have you passed a child,even as young as 5 years, on the streets or your neighborhood hawking something? How does it make you feel, just looking at the child.

I look and look and sometimes, I almost fall down, while turning back and looking, with tears in my eyes(because my imagination is already running riot). Some of them look hungry, maybe they have not eaten or had only little to eat since morning and the only meal ticket is that they must make sales. If not, they can not even go home (sometimes, they are on the streets, even till 7-8pm at night). 

I look at them and imagine my own children, safe and snuggling at home, making outrageous demands and complaining at the slightest discomfort (side eyes to them). I am forced to buy from their wares, even the things I don't need immediately, because I feel I have to do something. 

How many times have we heard or witnessed stories about girls and boys raped, or killed while hawking?

When we were growing up, some terrible group of young men (whom I hope have come to terms with their actions), were always targeting girl hawkers. They will send one of them to call an "ugu" seller to sell and slice the vegetable for him upstairs, meanwhile, 6 other young men are waiting in the room, and the 7 of them will proceed to rape the poor child. (The way they were forced to stop this atrocity, is a story for another day, in fact a whole article can be written on those young men).
Whose fault is this? Who do we blame this child labor and suffering on?


Parents or government????

IYA TRIPLET LOSES HER TRIPLET

Good day

My I D is Iya TRIPLET. I have been believing God for fruits of the womb for over five years and finally he answered me and gave me TRIPLET but I miscarried them on the Tuesday 15th day of September 2020 BLACK TUESDAY.

I wept like never before but I know he will give me another TRIPLET that will will stay with me till old age.

This ugly experience I don't wish anybody such. I need your prayers SDK FAM.
