In Nigeria, a lot of us erroneously calculate peoples ages based on the fact that we attended primary and secondary schools with them. And it's very wrong to do so.

I finished secondary school at 16. I was about the youngest in my set. We had lots of older peeps. Now that I am 39, it'd be wrong of my classmates to think I reduced my age, simply because they are using their own ages to calculate mine. Are you me? 🙄

So when we were filling the form for weac, I added 2 years which was the years I claimed, but God so have it, I was the one who took the form to the principals office, so just before entering the office, I corrected the age to the right year.. one of my classmate wasn't that lucky, I was the one she contacted from Dubai last year to help her run affidavit as to age correction on her weac certificate 😂😂 she added a year to her age not too look young to her friends, she was even actually older than me with a year,. I laff am ehn🤣🤣, .
But I was a 'bad boy's at that young age lol.. already had my first year piercing, if you see my afro hair then ehn😂🤣.. already sneaking to drink beer and taste 'smoke',. Jumping fence to go play video game, even in a funny group/gang that we called ourselves G-unit 😂🤣etc etc lol.. had my first university admission at 16
Ali B, we can use our age to calculate our former primary school and secondary school classmates ages. Reason is in these two schools, the age difference is usually between 1yr - 4yrs max. So if a former classmate comes out to say he or she is 35yrs old when you are 45yrs, then that is an age scam there.

The only performance God looks at when it comes to granting you his favour is Jesus' performance on your behalf and the fact that you are trusting totally in him. His life covers all your sins of omission, and his death covers all your sins of commission. And since God always sees you 'in Christ', in his eyes you are always qualified for favour. 'Righteousness...shall be imputed to us who believe in him who raised up Jesus' (Romans 4:22, 24 NKJV). So, today expect God's favour.

DeleteYesterday turned out to be quite an unexpected adventure, thanks to my Fulani friend, Salisu. The one I gist you guys of my encounter with them the other time,It all started with a phone call from one of my worker,(Iya Beji)who informed me that Salisu wanted to speak with me. Initially, I asked her to hang up so I could return the call at my earliest convenience. When I connected with Salisu, he expressed concern for my well-being and casually mentioned that he had something for me.
ReplyDeleteCuriosity, I asked what it was, and to my surprise, he said he had brought a grass cutter! I couldn't contain my excitement. A grass cutter typically refers to a large rodent known for its delicious meat, and the fact that he was bringing me one was both thoughtful and generous. I quickly hit the road to the farm to meet him.
When I arrived, Salisu handed me what can only be described as a baby goat-sized grass cutter—impressive! I thanked him profusely, genuinely touched by his kind gesture. I made my way home, my mind buzzing with thoughts of how I would prepare this special treat.
Once home, I wasted no time. I fired up my gas burner and set to work roasting the grass cutter. The savory aroma filled the balcony whetting my appetite and making my mouth water in anticipation.
To complement this delightful meat
Madam, my partner in culinary adventures, joined me in the kitchen, and together, we crafted a meal that paid homage to Salisu's thoughtful gift,and the better leaf soup added a depth of flavor that made the dish truly special.
As we sat down to enjoy our meal, I couldn't help but reflect on the day’s events. Salisu’s surprise not only brought a unique delicacy to our table but also highlighted the beauty of friendship and the generosity that can exist within our communities.
