The suit (No. CV/1359/25) was initiated through her legal team led by Michael Jonathan Numa, SAN. Akpoti-Uduaghan claims that during a March 6 appearance on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, Senator Nwaebonyi falsely referred to her as a “gold digger,” “habitual liar,” and “habitual blackmailer.”
She argues that these statements are malicious and defamatory, causing significant reputational damage, emotional distress, and embarrassment. According to her, the remarks have lowered her public standing and esteem.
The suit also cites a March 3 interview on Arise News TV, where Nwaebonyi allegedly claimed Akpoti-Uduaghan is “a mother of six from different men,” along with additional comments from YouTube videos on Channels TV and News Central TV, where he allegedly accused her of blackmail and forcing her husband into marriage under duress.
She is requesting a perpetual injunction stopping further publication of the defamatory remarks, an order compelling Nwaebonyi to publicly retract the statements and issue an apology, and N5 billion in aggravated and exemplary damages.
She is also seeking N100 million as cost of the suit, and post-judgment interest of 10% per annum until full payment.

ReplyDeleteHello iya Boys
This woman is not as wise as someone in her position should be. Of course, the men in question wronged you so badly, we all know, but the approach you are following can never give you a fair hearing in court, think before you act madame. You are using a very wrong approach. All the gragra will not fetch you anything as long as the court is concerned. At your age and level in public service, you should know that court don't judge issues based on emotions. If we even follow things legally, akpabio could sue you for defamation as well even though we know he is guilty of the accusations same way you sued nwa Ebonyi. He said you had kids for multiple men right? Are there evidence to the allegations or not?
ReplyDeleteHer personal life is not the case at hand, inferior and their manipulations
DeleteSlim, how did the men in question wronged her so badly that we-you all know?
DeleteHow do we-you know Akpa is guilty of the allegations levelled against him by Nata?
Are there evidences to the allegations against Akpa by Nata or not?
I pray they settle their differences o, the suing & counter suing is becoming tiring. But I like Natasha's resilience...
ReplyDeleteGod is your strength Natasha Akpoti
