NDLEA ReportedlyAbandons Family Of 2 Year Old BoyKilled By Its Operatives

On July 13, 2023, NDLEA operatives in Delta state went on a raid and the unthinkable happened...
The operatives fired shots into the air and the bullets killed two-year-old Ivan Omorhiakogbe and left his one-year-old brother, Eromonsele, with a severe eye injury.

Despite initial promises from the NDLEA and Delta State Government to provide compensation and arrange for Eromonsele's medical treatment abroad, nothing has been done 2 years later...

The family rejected the NDLEA's offer of N20 million as compensation, deeming it inadequate given the gravity of their loss and the ongoing challenges faced by Eromonsele. Advocates, including Senator Neda Imasuen, have called for a more substantial compensation of N100 million, while the family’s legal representatives are demanding N2 billion.
