INEC Explains Why It Rejected Petition To Recall Senator Natasha Akpoti

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has ruled that the petition to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan did not meet the constitutional requirements for the process.

The electoral body made this revelation on Thursday afternoon in a post on its official X handle.
“The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended),” INEC wrote.

  1. Hon. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. Big name for a reason.

Watching Hon. Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan stepped down from the chopper and bowed down to reverence the Almighty, I only but love her the more. The shout & excitement from the people showed and proved she's greatly loved by the people of Kogi Central senatorial district.

This is what I called Organic love. Street credibility. You don't buy it anywhere. Your actions speak volume to the people.

    Tested and trusted!!!!

A woman that fought a sitting governor and succeeded. If Yahaya Bello as a governor couldn't tamed and 'ran over' her, what made him accept to be used this time around to play such dirty game?

    1. Step down*
Bow*(no need for the 'ed' and "down". When you bow, it means your head is down already)
      This is what I call*
      Tame*
      Run over*

You have started using past tense where it is not necessary again. Nawah!

    2. Yes. I said so too. Imagine saying they were able to confirm 208k of d signatures and 35k weren't OK. How on earth did they confirm 208k signatures in such a record time? They now said the required no of correct signatures can be obtained as long as 'petitioners' bring in more. Is that not an invitation to treat? An open door so to say. Trust them at ur risk. Natasha should be vigilant.

  13. They listened when she said they would prove the 250k signatures are real in court. Fear wouldn't allow them disgrace themselves further.
