They have enough activities already, both the ones I know and the new ones I dont know. One of the habit I want them to inculcate is reading habit. I grow up reading newspaper, educative magazines and story books despite the chores to be done, but this gen Z generation have thrown that into thrash bin.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the vendor bringing newspapers for my dad then.
DeleteHmn... It is well.
Ah, the nostalgia of reading Punch and The Guardian daily, with Thisday newspaper added on Sundays. Reuben Abati's articles used to be my favorite every Friday and Sunday in the Guardian newspaper.
DeleteHonestly, I can’t think of anyone at the moment maybe because we didn’t really have a lot of actual parent - child bonding moment. So I’m just doing my own thing now with my kids

DeleteProbably unrelated to the question but consciously reading newspaper 📰. I remember growing up my dad would get the sun newspaper every day and on the weekends he would get the punch, I looked forward to flipping through those pages and reading it. Now as a mother to a 5 yo and under based “in the abroad” working from home , I went out with my daughter and picked up a newspaper and she asked me “what’s that ?” I was taken aback and realised she has never seen me read one before.
ReplyDeleteLol@ what's that? Our days were fun ojare 😄
