Bizwoman Lizzy Anjorin Calls Out Gospel Singer Tope Alabi Over Birthday Performance Brouhaha

Liz Anjorin called out Tope Alabi for her refusal to perform at her birthday party. She reminded Tope how she stood by her when the whole world rejected her and treated her like a sister...

Lizzy said...

“I am a Muslim and I didn’t expect my fans to invite a gospel singer to my birthday. They should have invited an Islamic singer who is my fan. I can never use my money to call Aunty Tope to sing for me. The best of her songs are in her album and I can easily play it in my house.

The millions my fans sent to her could have been given to beggars on the street or people that need their hospital bills to be paid.

A pregnant woman died recently because she could not afford 500k for hospital bills. I don’t do copy copy like other people. I already warned my fans to stop wasting money. I thank God I am alive and healthy for my birthday. I don’t know the reason why she refused to come down from the car but the reason is best known to her. I hope my fans have learnt their lessons from this.”

AUNTY TOPE I LOVE YOU BUT I DON’T NEED YOU

“Aunty tope my fans paid you 4 million naira and I have the evidence with me. Even if you were paid 500k, were you not an actress? In acting we were taught that if you are to kiss your enemy on set, you must do it.

You are a brand that your husband built with an empty stomach but I will not ruin everything because of what you did to me yesterday. When you had issues with prophet Ajanaku and the world rejected you, I stood by you. I play your music at times not because I need it but because I want to support you. No matter how terrible you think I am, I am not as bad as prophet Ajanaku.

I am happy you also saw the goodness of God in my life when you were outside my place yesterday. You called me your sister, no matter how much they paid you, you shouldn’t have reacted that way. You are not as pure as me, I have impacted and empowered people more than you. I have added more value to the society than you. If you judge me, you are not God”

  1. This is a lesson to us all to always be a better version of ourselves all the time. I know deep down that it is because of Lizzy's character that Evang Tope Alabi didn't deliver.
    Thanksfully she made a refund.

    2. Lets stop this sterotyping people. Most people condemning Lizzy do so based on naysayers without having any personal encounter with her.
What Tope Alabi did to her was wrong no matter her character. She's a gospel minister that should portray Christ to the world. Jesus never rejected any body no matter how condemnable they were, even the thief at the cross got his mercy.
She needs to apologise to Lizzy...

  2. Maybe when she realized it was Liz anjorin she decided the 4 million was too small for her to perform. Na dem sabi jare

  3. Tope Alabi get ready for premium dragging by different content creators. You should have asked for details of the celebrant before collecting money

But why did they collect money from her in the first place when they knew that Tope Alabi was not going to agree to perform?
I guess Tope Alabi was trying to protect her name and her brand, that's her identity
Money is not everything sometimes, business owners must understand that its important to do their due diligence before going into a business with some customers especially if they have an history of dragging people online or they are always quick to insult and curse other people.

Lizzy Anjorin wasn't expecting this at all, e shock her and e pain her join..LOL
When you behave anyhow ,some people would definitely avoid having anything to do with you

    They would be alright

    1. The main question is how come Tope Alabi's team did not inform her about the person she was to perform for....

That is the bottom of the wahala...All these drama would have been averted....Tope Alabi might want to reshuffle her team or get a new one....

This is unfair to both Tope Alabi and Lizzy...

  9. Since when did it become a crime to refuse a job??? Even the actresses she mentioned are at liberty to refuse a job they don’t want. The only crime is when u collect the money and refuse to do the job. She refunded them so what’s the problem?

Must she always want to use dragging someone to trend?

    1. Pls let’s be honest
How can you turn back from the gate of an event and expect the celebrant not to be annoyed
Where’s the time to find another performer in that moment

      Delete
    2. She refunded them at what time? When the party is on going? Where will she get another ariste at that moment?
She turned her down at the dying minute and expect her to be happy.
Because we feel someone has a bad name tag does not mean we should be mean and inhumane to the person.
Showing up there might even be the turning point in Lizzy's life....

    3. Eka sometimes think before dropping comments. Yes she refunded but that eleventh hour disappointment can never be refunded.

      Delete
    4. She didn't refuse the job(else she wouldn't have gone to the event) rather, she refused the client.

The same thing you complain about, concerning funke that people do to her always , is the same thing you just did. Because it is Lizzy just like the people you castigate , you also don't want to see reasons. This is why some artiste are sued even though they refund the money, it changes nothing. she let her client down at the last minute. Even actor that turns down role would do that before accepting the role not on the movie scene when they are about to shoot and every casts are present and everything is set.

    5. Go and listen to the person that connected, tope alabi and her husband did what they did because they were manipulated and getting to the venue they realized what happened and they refunded thier money and left.

    6. It’s like the people arguing with me don’t know that Tope had no idea who she was going to be performing for until the last moment.

And for the Efulefu that asked me to think before typing, I’m just gonna tell you that I’m not like you, if you don’t see the point in what I wrote, the problem is you and not me.

      Delete
    7. Eka that’s the story they are coming up with hours later
      I find it somewhat unbelievable.
But if she was in fact told it was someone else then she has a right to step away

  10. Only Tope Alabi knows why she refused to perform for her, but no matter the situation she is supposed to deliver the service she was fully paid for it doesn't matter if the client is her enemy, this is business.

    1. Which business? When she already returns the money. It is not everyone you indetify with

    2. Naaaa, I disagree with you last sentence. Tope has every right to refuse her services to anyone.

  14. Why is this even an issue?!
Someone made her chioce, accept it and move on

  15. She refused to come down from the car, I’m holier than you, this is about juju not physical issues.

    3. Abegi! Didn’t Tope Alabi perform for Egungun’s wife in the hospital? Is Egungun’s online persona better than Lizzy’s? You can’t claim Holy Spirit not aligning. What about Egungun interviewing almost next ladies every 2 markets days and talking shiii

    4. So running away was the solution, if early missionaries ran away from carrying the gospel, you think you will have it now. Those we think we are holier than might be better than us, only God can judge.

  21. Nobody should even bring up the talk of Tope refunding that means she's right.

Refunding her at the dying minute when all is set and they are expecting her to perform. Even though Lizzy is a very troublesome person she is in the right to be angry

    ReplyDelete
  22. But take Lizzy out of the equation, has anyone tried to find out if Tope became unwell or physically could not perform without embarrassing herself? Maybe something physically happened to her and in that moment and she could not even exit the car. Then again, if the voice of God told her not to perform there then she must obey, no matter if it’s an 11th hour decision.

People who are planning things should always have a plan B, just in case.

  23. The evil fans that contacted the singer without disclosing the celebrant are to blame. They know what they are looking for and they have found it. Tope Alabi should just apologise and move on.

Whatever happened, turning her down completely should have been the last option, nothing dey this life.

  24. It's hurtful to turn down a client at the last minute when they can't get a replacement, let's be honest.

Lizzy may have questionable characters but she's right here. Knowing Tope Alabi, she won't respond to this.

    Them go dey alright abeg.

  25. Nah people wey no know Tope ALABI go think say she's a good Christian. I have known her for 25 years now, she's a pretender and a bad person.
She curses for a living, she can abuse the hell out of someone with her long mouth. people who works with her knows but no one fit talk because of fear
She talks anyhow. She only acts good and pretends to be a righteous person when she goes to shows and on sm.

I don't know her but if what you stated is true then let those who are working with her find other means of employment so they can be at peace. Nobody should accept abuse just to earn a living.

  26. The people who booked the performance did not disclose the person Tope was going to sing for. They only revealed the name at the last minute and having been deceived, Tope has a right to turn down the job.
