Speaking during a recent episode of Toke Moments podcast, she noted that there was nothing wrong with a woman depending on a man to pay her bills and if such a man does not want such woman, he should leave them for those who do.
In her words;
"You don’t need to lower your standard. There are over a billion people in this world. You can go and find somebody who has what you are looking for. Stop letting society dictate for you

“If you say, ‘Oh, this girl is a money-hungry b!tch. All she wants is a man to pay her bills.’ If you can’t pay her bills, leave. There is another guy who that is what he is looking for.
“I feel like we make things harder than it is; fighting online with our opinions. If somebody is not what you are looking for, refuse the urge to start trying to pinpoint what is wrong with them because it is actually a reflection of you and not them, that's what they want out if their life".

Women should also be independent enough to comfortably pay their OWN bills.
ReplyDeleteMen didn't come to this world to be footing bills.
Lazy Nigerian men... Go look for your type
DeleteGo out there and work for your money too @17:08.
DeleteSome of you are setting High standards with no value to show for it.
Men are human too!
Like you aren't getting her, allow me to reiterate it, she said look for somebody who fits into what you are looking for! In other words, stop stressing yourself relentlessly and aimlessly on women matter.
DeleteShe don dey grow up.

See them, lazy, valueless and broke females skipping like chickens on coke just because their mentor is pushing the kind of message they want to hear .
DeleteBiko, go and make your own money. Even the yeyebrity thots abroad have almost all realised this fact and are shifting grounds.

So women doesn't have hands to work, only to go after men that can pay their bills
ReplyDeleteMay her future sons end up paying women's bills!
ReplyDeleteHer future son's will understand the assignment unlike you broke ass men that can't be a provider and a protector.. Trust her to raise her sons well..
DeleteThat’s how foolish they talk, until it gets to them they turn to wicked and controlling mother in-laws.
DeleteOlosho vibes. Making it look as though relationship is a job. Except a lady is handicap. The advice doesn't fly. The men she is referring to are the ones who don't have anything else to offer in a relationship except money.
ReplyDeleteFor a guy to be paying the bills of a lady just because they are in a relationship screams yaba left.
Akporoghene.
Lazy man ntor gi
DeleteEveryone should do what works for them
ReplyDeleteVery true
ReplyDeleteLove is not a transaction, stop listening to women like Toke. There are many Nigerian women who are successful, wealthy and in healthy relationships. Stop allowing women who may or may not have a lot of baggages, (unknown to you) give you advice from their place of damage.
ReplyDeleteThe danger is that they eventually heal and regret the advice they gave on the way towards becoming whole (while carrying their baggages). Some would have run with the advice the giver of advice healed from.✌🏾
There used to be a time when the pedigree of whoever decides to give a public opinion was the deciding factor on what value is placed on it. Now, it just doesn't seem to matter. This her opinion lacks value in terms of the content itself, the underlying principle and even with regards to pedigree
