UK Publishes Details Of Unclaimed Estates Belonging To 58 Dead Nigerians

The UK Government has released a comprehensive list of unclaimed estates belonging to 5,806 deceased individuals from various countries, including 58 Nigerians.
The estates have been classified under “Bona Vacantia,” a legal term indicating that no valid claim has been made for the assets, thereby rendering them property of the Crown.

According to the list of unclaimed estates held by the Treasury Solicitor, last updated on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the UK authorities stated that the owners of the estates had died without anyone stepping forward to claim the properties.
The list provided detailed information, including the names of the deceased, their dates of birth and death, locations of death, marital status, and official reference numbers.
Under UK law, unclaimed estates are held by the Crown for a period of 30 years. If no legitimate heir comes forward within this time frame, the assets will become Crown property permanently.

  1. No need to claim , we dash UK because the money to claim those properties will be more than the the worth of the properties after calculating all the tax and rate arrears owed on them over the years. By the way FFK go claim your inheritance, your father's name is there.

    1. The following properties are worth looking into and claiming:-

      1. Chiswick
      7. South Kensington
      13. Hammersmith
      16. Hampstead
      17. The postcode suggests the property is either in the Liverpool St, Monument, Bank, St. Paul's area.
      28. Paddington
      36. St. John's Wood
      52. St. Pancras

I, however, agree with you for all those Illford, Peckham, Camberwell (SE and E postcode) homes. Those areas are run-down/low income. There will be little to no value there, after the legal process is completed.

    2. You don't know why you are talking about. Average home in Peckham is £800k and Ilford is in the region of £650k
