Singer, Asake’s alleged father, Fatai Odunsi has cried out for financial assistance after suffering partial stroke.
He made the plea in Yoruba language in a now trending video on social media.
He accused Asake of neglect, noting that the last time he saw him was when the sickness started in March 2022.
He called on Nigerians to render him financial help for his medical treatment, he said “Good day everyone, I’m the one that gave birth to Ahmed Asake the singer.
“The last time I set my eyes on him was March 2022 when my sickness started. If I called Asake, he won’t pick. Please help me, it is your help that I need”.

Dear Asake
ReplyDeletePlease forgive and try forget no matter what he has done
He is your father, medicines, good food, money, good roof over his head are necessary
Some people will just comment without knowing the background or history of peoples lives. What if when Asake's father abandoned him, another man raised Asake up as his own. In western countries some children who are adopted and raised by loving adoptive parents do not make contact with their biological parents out of respect for their adoptive parents. They wait till the adoptive parents die before making contact or having any connection with their biological parents. Every case is unique to the person involved.
DeleteI hate it when parents embarrass or emotionally blackmail their children like this, it will make me despise the parent more and questions their true intentions.
Anon 14: 54, thank you. Don't mind them. Everybody is not alike. All those men running from responsibilities. Hope you're seeing your fellow men. Make una continue. Telling women to close legs. Tell the men to clip their cucumber if they are not ready to take care of children. Asake carry go jaree.
DeleteAsake go home... you are needed
ReplyDeleteYankee lifestyle is not forever brother .
Goodluck to them
Hmmm! Not everyone have a forgiving spirit and from what I have seen in my small age, most guys hardly forgive the absent parents unlike girls/ladies.
ReplyDeleteLet's just endeavor to be a good and kind parent because children sees everything.
Girls and ladies can forgive and forget them, forgiveness does not mean access to abusive and destructive people
DeleteThe bigger the head, the bigger the headache. After the shege I’ve seen in this life, people who do this publicly never mean well.
ReplyDeleteFact
DeleteMaybe the money he has is not pure, I don't trust all these artist
ReplyDeletePoverty mentality.. see them
DeleteIn this 2025? Smh I
DeleteNot a good thing to neglect your loved ones when you make it in like. What could have made him to even neglect his dad?
ReplyDeleteOh, maybe due to the way he treated his mum back then. Absentee father?
Hnmmm
ReplyDeleteAsake pls help your father out.
ReplyDeleteAs a child that was abandoned by my father, Asake owes this man nothing. When my mother was verbally and physically bullied by men, there was no one to protect her. She literally had to scrap for school fees meanwhile our sperm donor was entertaining new women. When my mother made it to Canada , sperm donor suddenly remembered he had kids! Andy free Asake … his sperm donor needs to move on. The only person Asake ever mentions is his mom! Asake no dull, wetin mama go chop? His name = Omo Asake … abeg free am
ReplyDeleteYou see so? I have one or 2 friends whose father's were deadbeat in every sense of it, and I won't blame them if they choose this route in the near future.
DeleteChai its true oh! I just remembered that Asake is actually his mother’s name. Only God knows what they went through together for him to choose to identify by his mother’s name
DeleteUmmmmm
ReplyDeleteAsake please forgive your father and help him π
You that feel for the guy help him.
DeleteA big lesson to parents who neglect their kids either cos of their wives or whatever. They forget that one day, diapers will be dia pant, gbola no go work, stroke will be dia girlfriend, diabetes na cousin, HBP na fiancΓ©e, rhuematism na paddy and finances nko, go japa.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle neglected his son he had out of wedlock just to satisfy his wife. The legit children schooled abroad and lacked nothing , while my cousin attended public schools and was practically raised by his mum' family.
My uncle took ill and was abandoned alone at home, as madam relocated abroad to meet her children leaving him abandoned at home with HPB, partial paralysis, diabetes etc
My cousin was informed about his current state and stepped into his father's mansion for the first time. There were maggots on his body, bed and the floor cos of feaces and urine.....he rushed him to the hospital but he died after a few months. During the funeral preparations he was sidelined as usual and wasn't mentioned in the will...he didn't need a dime by the way.
This is a lesson for absentee parents. You have all the money today but one day your fingers and brains will be sick to even sign a cheque.
Kudos to all children who made it out without their help and kudos to my cousin who turned out well to become a very established Surgeon. ..couldn't be prouder
Aww God bless him more
DeleteAsake please forgive your father π
ReplyDeleteForgiveness doesn't mean what happened was okay. It means that you're choosing to release the hold it has on you.
No matter what, if someone ignores me I cannot go out begging for their attention and support, no matter who they are. If he believes in God why disturb his son for help? If you truly have God you need nobody's help with anything.
ReplyDeleteMe I won't judge asake, because who no go no know, there's some level of pain/hurt some parent will inflict upon their kids, that will be hard to heal from.
ReplyDeleteSome people's parent are dead to them in every sense (even though they are still alive). God is the only one who forgives and forgets that easily, a lot of humans don't .
Was he a responsible father to Asake when he was growing up? Anyone who does not take care of their child(ren) should not expect to receive from those kids largesse later in life.
Let him ask for forgiveness first.
Abeg, I don't listen to these kind of people. After abandoning your kids, you now decide to look for them at 'night' I cannot blame Asake until I hear his side of the story.
ReplyDeleteAsake, pls help him out as he's sick because of God π
Adunni
Aseke Please forgive your father
ReplyDeleteπ€£π€£π€£π€£
ReplyDeleteWhen you guys have an irresponsible father, take care of him okay
This is own father let him do what he wants with him
Hmmm πππ
ReplyDeleteMay God Touch The Heart Of Asake ooo
ReplyDeleteHello iya Boys
Asake please take care of your mother the more cos she went through he'll and high water to raise you. Your deadbeat dad never knew that you'd amount to anything. Ignore him. Infact release a song as a life lessons for deadbeat and other upcoming deadbeat dads. Greet ya mama for me jor
