Singer Asake Reportedly Settles With Dad And Accepts To Financially Cater For Estranged 11 Year Old Daugter

Nigerian hip hop star ( Ahmed Ololade) Asake has reportedly reconciled with his father, Fatai Odunsi.
Asake has also promised to buy him a house and cover his medical expenses.
This comes days after Mr Odunsi accused the music star of abandoning him since his health started declining in 2022.

In a new video on Sunday March 16, 2025 he confirmed that Asake has now reached out to him.
Speaking in Yoruba, Mr Odunsi said: “His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me.
“That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting.
He further revealed that “Asake said he will do everything that I want. We have settled, no more problems.
“They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything.”
Asake has also agreed to take full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat.
Odunsi added: “He has never denied his child, but he has now promised to take full responsibility for the child.”

  2. All d dead beat fathers in d house, pinch urselves. “When d child grows , he will look for his or her father”, make ona dey take record bcoz Ashake get church mind , otherwise OYO. Some bad guys for SM wey dey d same shoes like Ashake now, say ona go kpai dem , b4 ona see their break light. I guess it was bcoz of his father’s negligence that Ashake did not go to school but guy hustled to break through. I like as d man suffer small & ds will teach his likes small lesson.

    2. My cousins are graduates but they went through hell living with their father as in even laughing loud dem go chop beating. He was a single dad by choice as he was a tyrant to every wife he married and refused to let them take their kids. None of his children relate with the man today and he's telling everyone that he trained them and did school runs.

    3. You are spot on tbe money. This is what I told someone Asake's father must have done to him. Probably traumatised the man-s childhood parenting is more than paying bills.

  3. He sounds entitled and like a troublemaker. Which one is, "His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me."That was what got me angry,"
    why must she ask?
Look at him saying he will do everything I WANT.

Honestly I feel sorry for celebrities who are the only successful ones in their household. Most would be surrounded by parasites except they have good and kind relatives.

    1. Let them keep massaging their stupid ego. You won’t raise your kids but want to reap where you didn’t sow.

  8. God bless Asake. He obviously don't want to be dragged all over social media.

  9. Trouble maker father, iru yin po nita, shio!
Afterall, the only thing you want is his money and not that you genuinely cared for him as a father, the same as Mohbad's father..
Well, he will give you money since it's money you want, but he will never love you, and when you eventually die, you'll go and answer to your maker why you chose to be a dead beat.

Let me ask you this rhetorical question: If he wasn't famous, will you surface?

I leave you to your conscience.

  10. I retract my statement earlier said concerning this issue, I didn't know the real story before commenting, God bless you Asake, never knew the dad was a deadbeat

  12. Hello, Stella. Please dont post my comment. I just want to point it out that Asake was raised by his dad. He is a musician now because of his dad. He used to go with his dad to sing "were" music, Yoruba Islamic music, during Ramadan as a kid and even into his teens. His mum left him with his dad as little kid and the man only remarried after many years of pleading from his people. The videos of all those whom grew up with him in Isale Eko are on social media (Instagram and Twitter). They explained a lot. I also at first wasnt sure if his dad abandoned him or not but so many people have commented, included his primary school teacher regarding his relationship with his dad and I believe that you always post every side of a story for fair perceptive. Thanks.

  13. It's likely they had been rendering well to 2022. Perhaps, the usual disagreement between father and son where the father refuses to realise his son is a fellow adult.

There's however no good excuse for leaving his own child uncared for.
