Ever encountered haunted houses either as a tenant or the owner of the house? Give us the full gist, nobody dey fear for here oh.... Give us narratives that will bring out goosebumps at the back of our necks... Lets gist...
I lived in a businessman's house somewhere in the north. It was big, nice rooms, great building. After we moved in, we noticed that our bathroom in the master bedroom would be taken over by insanely large cockroaches. When I say large, I mean LARGE. Only that bathroom which my husband and I used. There were three rooms in the the house, all ensuite, none other had this problem. We took every measure, blocked every possible entrance, still. Now, I have seen cockroaches in bathrooms before, but this was different. The sheer size and numbers, in the minute it would take me to call on my husband , they would be gone. We reported it to the man, he didn't seem surprised or worried about it. Said to call him if it happened again, guess what, it never did until we left there. Then things began to happen, hubby's job, my business, name it. We could never save, constant poor health, funny night cries and sounds by our windows. He was always interested in what we were doing, when we would have another child, are we buying a new car? What position my husband occupied at work etc. I was so uncomfortable in my spirit living there. I had to force hubby to find another place ASAP.
Stayed in one while we were living in Yola. The first day we moved into that house, the landlord saw us sanctifying the house and forbade us from doing so. It was already too late to look for another apartment so we managed it but we had strange occurrences.
The front door opens on its on in the afternoons and when you go to check, you don’t see anyone there.
I was around 8yrs old then but I remember seeing human hair scattered round the house only at night when it’s dark. No one else saw those hairs just me. My parents wouldn’t believe me when I told them the house is full of thick hairs. I felt really alone and always scared of the dark.
My younger sister hardly slept at night, she was always staring at the ceiling but she was too young to tell what she saw. We eventually relocated to another state and I never saw those hairs again. Note the hairs I saw wasn’t in a dream or vision, I saw them physically.
Lived in one as a student. I would always dream at night that I was living in the forest under an orange tree. The land lady left her own apartment to stay with the students, her room was next to mine. Strange noises and movement was heard in the passage at night. People started moving out until we were just four in the whole building.
The student opposite my room would beg that she sleeps in mine because she was always dreaming that the land lady was trying to stab her, around the same time I used to dream that the land lady was trying to enter my room and we would fight at the door.
One night I woke up to see the little boy living with her in my room despite I had locked the door. Before I could shout he vanished. In the morning my pastor came visiting and said he just felt led to come and see were I stay. He says" Sis I know you are spiritually sensitive to know that there is no building here, you are living in a forest filled with orange trees". The moment he said that I remembered my dreams and packed some of my things and moved out to stay with friends. I had just spent three months in the house. The things that happened in that three months is too much to tyre.
I once shared a story of my friend that died in November last year, her sister in law died in that same house two years before we lost her again last year, it was after her death we realised that 5 people have died in that house within 10 years, that house is in Beckerly estate, only God will judge them.
A friend of mine was a live in care support worker in the western suburbs. The lady she looked after, was very very wealthy, live all by herself in a very posh neighbourhood in a mansion with several well decorated rooms. My friend is the only one that lives with her.
My friend said the lady doesn’t close her eyes when she sleeps and she hears all sort of loud conversations and noises at night. Mind you the lady is not black. After having strange experiences for a while, she called the agency and told them she doesn’t want to be there again.
1993: We went to write GCE in ozar secondary school somewhere in akwete in Abia state. So we (4 friends) rented a room in the village but didn’t know that was someone grave. A human being was buried in that room. Every night, there will be loud sounds and screams and all sorts of noise in our room.
I only slept a night there and went back to Aba the next day because I don’t like paranormal activity in my life. I can’t just deal with it but my friends were there for 3 nights and they all ran back to Aba.
Little wonder the villagers were looking at us pitifully whenever we come out from the room. Even when we were paying for the room, the landlord had a mischievous grin. There are a lot of despicable people in this world.
My brother used to work as a locum doctor (they are like gypsies drs who go from one place to another to work) in northern Ire. The hospital is responsible for their accommodation and all that. So he got a job in this hospital and they gave him a room downstairs. He noticed that the accommodation shared a fence with a graveyard but he thought nothing of it.
Within few days of staying in the room, he noticed that the room is extremely cold even with the heating system is on full blare. And sometimes air from no where would be blowing his curtains or his stuff will be falling off unusually, which I have witnessed as well whilst he was chatting with me on the phone one night.
The one that made him decide to leave the room was some days he would leave his bed unmade, his plates unwashed because he was rushing to work in the morning and when he comes back from work, his bed was neatly made like hotel and his dishes washed, dried and put away. Sometimes he feels he is sharing his bed with someone.
He went to the porter that looked after the building to inquire whether there was a housekeeper in the building and the man said no.
When it happened the second time, he went to them and asked them to change the room that he didn’t want to stay there any more. He said they didn’t hesitate and they changed the room immediately. And up until he left, no one lived in there.
Oh my world. I would have entered one chance like this. Mine was when I was new in UK and seriously looking for an accommodation. Eventually found one, nice place but has an old church with old grave yard just beside it. I was worried about the grave yard but the agent reassured me that I don't need to worry. He said they don't bury people there anymore and the space is also used for wedding receptions most Saturdays . The property consisted of many studio apartments and he lived in one; according to him he never experienced any paranormal activity since he started living there. I paid deposit and one month rent because I desperately needed a place to stay. But in my mind I was deeply worried about that grave yard walai. At some point I thought of withdrawing and start my suffer again to look for another accommodation but they were going to take part of my money for withdrawing. Miraculously as I was contemplating to withdraw before my move in date, the agent wrote me that the landlord said he was no longer interested that he needs someone who would stay for 12months or more instead of the 6months we had initially agreed. They had to refund me in full. I really thank God for that because I don't know what I would have done for 6months should I have experienced quarter of what your brother experienced.
I once lived in a house with relatives who were so nice to me but the house the rented was always cockroach infested especat night to the extent that they enter the pot of soup n my uncle's wife will still pick it out and recook the soup n eat. I am like no no no I need to move out. I eventually got a pla e of mine. I can't shout.

ReplyDeleteWhat!! 😨
DeleteSame Berkeley estate in Abule egba?
Delete@Anonymous yes!
DeleteImagine living in a house where people were killed... It would have dark energy in it.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is important to ask questions about the properties and the owners as well.
I read a story on FB, where a lady said she paid for a house and was never able to locate the house to move into it.
A friend of mine was a live in care support worker in the western suburbs. The lady she looked after, was very very wealthy, live all by herself in a very posh neighbourhood in a mansion with several well decorated rooms. My friend is the only one that lives with her.

He was getting housekeeping service.
DeleteHe also needed the heating turned up in his room
A ward to the manager would have sorted this.
Hope he has more sense now

ReplyDeleteCockroaches are bad omen.
DeleteImagine removing cockroach from soup and recooking it for consumption. Kai
