  6. Anon, kindly explain this bail thing to me. Are the sureties paying 100M, or 10%(which is 10M) or they must just have properties worth 100M each?
What happens to the bail money at the end of the case if Jude doesn’t abscond.

    3. The intention is to ensure that the accused doesn't abscond. The guarantor will provide the documents to the land, the court will verify the genuineness of the land documents and confirm that it is worth minimum N100m.
If Jude doesn't abscond then the land documents will be released to the guarantor at the end of the case

    4. Anon 15:01, There are different bail conditions. In this case, N100m bail means a bond of N100M. This means once the person is still available, the bond is the security.

In some bail conditions, they may ask for property worth a particular amount eg N500M which must be in Lagos or Abuja.

In another condition, they may ask for a level 16 or 17 Civil Servant. Al these depend on the severity of the case.

Finally, it can involve everything mentioned above, most especially if it is a security issue. Please note that this is different from a bail in the police station which usually involves direct payment of an amount of money.
