MohbadGATE - Nurse Explains What Happened On The Day Singer Mohbad Died

Hmmmh, does that mean Wunmi went around granting interviews lying? Her report on what happens differs from what the Nurse recounted and then the nurse said exactly what mohbads dad said that he had never seen the nurse before.......Hmmmmmm

The Nurse said
''On Sept 11, 2023 I was at Cotonou to process my admission. As I was on my way back , I saw Spending’s missed call and I called him back. Then he told me I should come and treat his friend in the house who had a cut. I told him I was just coming back from Cotonou. I later missed his calls because I couldn’t pick up. As I got to CMS, a call came in from DJ Bami, he introduced himself that he was from Spending. I couldn’t go to the house that day.

I got there the next day at about 2:30pm. I met a guy in the sitting room carrying Liam and DJ Bami led me upstairs. On getting to the room Mohbad was, I saw some water on the floor which Dj Bami mopped. We then moved Mohbad from the room he was to another room. It was only the 4 of us that were upstairs. Me, Mohbad, Djbami and Wunmi.

As I was giving the first injection, Mohbad asked me the type of injection I wanted to give him and I told him Tetanus Injection, Paracetamol Injection and antibiotics. I first gave him Tetanus and Paracetamol Injection. After I gave him the paracetamol injection, Wunmi said he had ulcer. When I gave him the third injection, he started reacting and saying he wanted to throw up. Djbami and wunmi led him to the bathroom where he threw up. After throwing up, he sat down on the floor and was very weak.

Then, goose bumps appeared on his body. Wunmi told me that is how he used to react to injection and I told her that she should have told me before. She then said that if they pour water on his head, he will calm down. Wunmi then poured water on him. When I saw the goose bumps, Dj Bami and I quickly went down to rush to the pharmacy so we could get an antidote. We got to the first pharmacy but they didn’t have what we wanted, we then went to another pharmacy. They called Djbami from the house that Mohbad was convulsing and I told them to rush him to the hospital....

When DjBami and I got back to the house, we saw that they were carrying Mohbad out of the house. They carried him like a baby and rushed him to the neighbor’s car. Wunmi and I sat in the front while some guys were with him at the back(I don’t know those guys). As we were going, we met a terrible traffic that was not moving at all so we had to transfer him to a bike.

I was begging all the drivers in the traffic to give us space so the bike could move Mohbad. A guy was with Mohbad in the bike. As the bike was moving, Djbami and I followed the bike to the hospital. The hospital was not far to where we were. When we got to the hospital, the doctor asked if I gave him a diclofenac and I said No. I told him the injections I gave him. He then said Mohbad had passed away.

They issued a d*ath certificate and gave it to DJ Bami. I never set my eyes on Adura throughout the time I was in the house. It was when we got to the hospital that Adura came to meet us. We went to the second hospital who also confirmed to us that Mohbad had d!ed. It was Darosha that took us there. The doctor asked me what I gave him and I explained. She told me to get out of her sight. We then took his body back home. When we got back to the house, they closed the door and restricted people from entering. There was a lot of crowd outside. Throughout the time that I was in the house, till I left, I never set my eyes on Baba Mohbad

What I gave Mohbad was the right medication that would be given to anybody with a cut. The lower part of his hand was very swollen and I gave him the tetanus injection on the upper hand. Before I got to that house that day, I told Djbami to send me the picture of the cut so I could know what to bring to the house. I was about 5 mins to the house before I got the picture.

If they had sent that picture before I left my house, I wouldn’t have gone to Mohbad’s house because it was just a small cut. I would have told them to take him to a nearby pharmacy. I actually thought I was a qualified auxiliary nurse until Mohbad’s case started and they said I am not. I have an O level and I trained at the hospital from 2014-2017

I knew Spending through a referral and he has recommended many people to me before Mohbad’s incident. Spending was not in the house when the whole issue happened. I don’t know why they waited for me to come from Cotonou. The period from when they called me till I got there was about 22 hours. The time interval from when I treated Mohbad to when they said he was de*d was just 2 hours. I asked Djbami about the cut before I started treating Mohbad and he said it was a glass cut and they already removed the glass from his hand the previous day''

(NEXT CORONER DATE IS MARCH 21, 2025)

  2. Why didn’t they take him to hospital. Why wait for a nurse far away. I just wish this never happened.

    1. Why didn’t he ask to be taken to the hospital? If you know how ikorodu people abuse home treatment ehn, you will know that he was the one that opted for that home treatment

    2. To be honest, this story is annoying. New week, new revelation. They exhumed his body, nothing happened. They should just bury him, and close the case, cos it's obvious nothing will come out of it.

  3. Total negligence, very avoidable death. They should have gone to the hospital instead of waiting for an auxiliary nurse. The injections reacted negatively on him.

    Rest in peace Mohbad.

  4. So sad that someone as big as Mohbad had to be treated by a quack nurse. It was as if he was already dead but just waiting for someone to take the fall. May justice be served

  5. Something they should have done right from the beginning, they waited for a whole 22 hours for a nurse! Negligence and stupidity on the side of the wife and everyone present in that scenario.

    1. How’s the wife at fault here???? How? An able bodied, fully functional man that had a swollen arm chose to be treated at home by a nurse, but somehow the wife is stupid? May God forgive u sha. One day one day, they will use one of u widow blaming people as example

  6. Total case of negligence, may his soul continue to rest in peace.

  7. The Mohbad could not carry himself to the hospital or tell them to drive him there?
They waited for almost a day to get him treated by an hospital messenger.
I think he was destined to die, the death was already stamped.

  8. Auxiliary nurse indeed.
They need to use you as an example to teach other quacks like you lesson.
You triggered his death by administering whatever it was to him.
Why won't the doctor ask you to get out of her sight?
I blame Mohbad's wife and friends for using a quack in the first place.
Was it lack of money or what that pushed them to use a quack.
She has the boldness to call herself a qualified auxiliary nurse.
This should be a lesson to people that patronise quacks..
And please they should just close this case already as it is glaring it was negligence that killed Mohbad. If they should hold anyone for his death, it should be the quack nurse that put something into his body. Then the wife and friends should be blamed for using a quack.

    1. Do you know her personally, why the attack. Did she force the drugs on him. She stated the drugs she gave him but you still want her to take the fall for his death. What of the. People that watched him groaning in pains and couldn’t do anything for him for hours. They left him there without treatment and you think that couldn’t have caused his death too.

    2. He should be blamed for using a quack because he was fully functional, not the wife! Jesus!

I don't need to know her personally before condemning the evil quacks like her cause in the society.
She does not need to force the medications on him before it is clear she is not competent to administer medications please.
Stated the medications she administered under whose prescription and diagnosis? Was it not after she administered one of the medications the issue escalated?
Please let's stop enabling wrong doings.
She's not being prosecuted because this happened in Nigeria where people link death to enemies.
The ball is in your court to know the truth and embrace it. We don't need to experience the consequences of quackery before we learn.

    4. How sure are you Mohbad was functional? We don't know how stable that man was at that moment and his capability of taking himself to the hospital. Did you not read where she wrote they moved Mohbad from the room he was in to another room? Was he stable and they had to move him?
Who called the quack nurse? Mohbad?
It was his friend who called the girl that came to treat him.
Mind you I didn't mention only the wife, I also included the friends. I blame her for waiting for the girl to come the next day without making any move.

  10. This nurse narration is as clear as the day light. Mohab died out of negligence. People should not pin his death on her, she did her job. All this talk from the father, wife and friends, this is the only clear one.

  11. "Wunmi and I sat in the front while some guys were with him at the back(I don’t know those guys). "

    Who were the guys?

  12. This story is consistent with Wunmi’s narration of how he died. Pray tell, how is Wunmi even a suspect in the death of someone that clearly died after being injected by a nurse he asked for himself? How abeg??? Must widows always be accused of their husband’s death in Nigeria?

    1. From what i have been reading its like there is something that they have not said that will shock everyone but those who know are waiting for those who should talk to talk..
I watched wunmi on live tv say the nurse told mohbads father something and he told them to allow her go....Mohbads dad said he has never seen the nurse before and did not meet her on that day and this is the same thing the nurse has said...I am not saying she killed him but she has lied well well several times

  13. Hmm, well, a glass cut(not a poisonous metallic material).
There was water on the floor which needed to be mopped and him transferred to another room so she could attend to him.
If the material that cut him wasn't poisonous, and there's water on the floor already, it means that he's already feeling 'unwell' before the nurse arrived.
'there was goosebumps on his body, his wife wunmi said that's how he reacts, now this is where I fault wunmi, mohbad and the nurse.
In a civilized world the doctor would ask for allergies and his medical history. The nurse should have asked questions before administration of anything. The late young man and his wife should have told her same but before not after he reacts to it.
Now she says the hospital wasn't even far away from his resident, so why call an 'auxillary' when he could have gone to the hospital in the first place.
I feel like there's more that could have been understood about the incident, but a divided house really makes it hard. Forgive me for saying this on a public platform but.. I hope when next mohbad comes to earth he gets the right family. When you are loved from birth , it helps you choose the people who you keep around you.
