Bill Proposing A Prime Minister For Nigeria Passes 2nd Reading

Nigerian lawmakers have advanced a bill proposing the creation of the Office of the Prime Minister as the head of government, alongside the Office of the President as the head of state. This bill, which is part of broader constitutional amendments, recently passed its second reading in the House of Representatives.

The proposed system would shift Nigeria from its current presidential system to a parliamentary one, where the Prime Minister would be elected by the legislature, and the President would serve as a ceremonial figure

  2. Now, it's getting clearer. I now see what someone said coming into fulfillment. This legislatures are the worse and rubber stamped legislatures Nigerians have ever known.

Someone is trying to become a prime minister in 2031
