“Sometimes my husband will send me on an errand because his girlfriends wanted to visit him in our house.
“He used to bring them home to sleep over. He would sleep with them in my presence. I usually get angry, but I can’t challenge him because I was always afraid of him.”

na wa oo, these are the kinds of marriages they would be asking young women to emulate and be saying nonsense like this generation of women are not like our mother's. see the rubbish your mothers were enduring. spits
ReplyDeleteAdvising nonsense and using themselves as examples
DeleteThis is the nonsense they want us to emulate na.
DeleteSome men are dogs in men's cloths.
DeleteHow I wish she would mention the mistresses' name.
True talk @10:46 and 10:54
DeleteToday's marriages are better jare
After all, a wife can now dance with her man friend (boy friend) on the day of her baby's dedication. Her bum can now be slapped several times on the dance floor by her boyfriend in the presence of her husband and his family too.
Yinmu
Hmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteSome women eyes dey see sege for marriage
The kind of marriage some people are in,I don't wish it for my worst enemy..
ReplyDeleteThis is what young guys mean when they tell you "our mothers home lasted than that of now, our mothers placed family first, they are good wives to their dad".
ReplyDeleteThere's no glory in letting a human like you walk on in the name of marriage, no benefit comes from it, any benefit you can think of is built with trading the essence of your bring.
Felicity
This is what some mothers do endure for the sake of their children and fear of what people will say or being called a divorcee. This generation men call us woke because we have refused to accept their nonsense. Just imagine the emotional damage that man did to this woman.
ReplyDeleteI will chose to stay alone for the rest of my life than to be in a rubbish marriage
You have refused to accept nonsense, but continue to do nonsense as a side chic to married men. Talk about nonsense.
DeleteThe type of marriage an average Nigerian man wants for himself
ReplyDeleteWhen did you take a poll of the average Nigerian man to come up with this conclusion.
DeleteNot the ones I know @11:13
DeleteGod forbid . What a wicked man
ReplyDeleteMama you Say Wetin
ReplyDeleteLike Seriously 🙄🙄
Hello iya Boys
Jesus Christ
ReplyDeleteKaaaaai. You cheat, and then do it to my face. Naaaaa. There are things one shouldn't accept all in the name of marriage.
ReplyDeleteSo many grandmother's went through this, I know of one that told us, she would cook, fetch water and lay the bed for her husband's mistresses and she dare not make face.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the major reasons we have so many wicked mother in laws, because they can't stand their sons treating their wives better than how they were treated.
They should continue with their wicked hearts then if you can't live to see where they are treating someone right
DeleteImagine 😳
You are right.
DeleteI was told my late father in law would wake his wife and children up in the middle of the night too pound yam and make vegetable soup with freshly washed snails. My mother in love will walk in on my husband doing the house chores, she will start complaining, that there's nothing wrong for a pregnant woman to be mopping the floor. She and my Sis in law tried to stop my husband but my heart n gree
I agree with you.
DeleteSlavery. And they want people to emulated rubbish.
DeleteChai na wa o, she really tried to stay with such a man, God forbid
ReplyDeleteI really bless God for the generation that I am born. Coz what the fhuckkkk is this?
ReplyDeleteMama Ereko this one na gwogwongwo for your hausoo chai
ReplyDeleteWonders..
It is well
ReplyDeleteIt's all shade of wrong, that's why some women started glowing after their husband's death because the abuse has stopped
ReplyDeleteGbam. And the mental torture stopped. I have separated from mine. Evil and sick men we call husband! Not all sha.
DeleteWhat? I hope she has healed
ReplyDeleteThis is why some women don't take of their husbands in their old age. What nonsense!
ReplyDeleteSome men are just not it abeg
She’s the enabler period! Haba! She’s couldn’t confront him because????? It’s possible she was receiving punches too, how can you be too quiet to that extent? She was a mere house help to him na. So after watching the blue film you’ll still go and open your own legs for him tueh!
ReplyDeleteA popular nollywood actress too used to bring men home for backs, and her husband didn’t say nothing, until he couldn’t take it anymore and left, now she does threesomes all over the country with bullets full her head, 😂
ReplyDeleteWhat?😳😳😳
DeleteI can’t even decipher this. Some folks really don’t respect their spouse or their household. What a memory to leave behind.
DeleteI cannot imagine what that felt like. Perhaps she was married at that time and in that place where divorce was a serious taboo, maybe she would not get custody of her children, who knows why she stayed.
ReplyDeleteThe polygamy mindset strips a man of his humanity. That was a man who did not even respect his wife or care anything about her. She was simply there to wash, cook, clean and have his children. He didn’t even need her for seck, she was just an indoor beast of burden.
Mama Ereko it's sad you had to go through such.
ReplyDeletei believe you have healed reason you're talking about it.
Age with Grace Ma'am 🙏
At 5:05pm,
ReplyDeleteNo let-us-hear-the-other-siders have shown up. Brunch has been sumptuous and very engaging for them to get up from?
No. Adultery (that is the real name for it) is not supported.
Just that it is not gender specific as the dismissive "hear-the-other-siders" make it appear here. All types of it now exists.
God forbid this kind of marriage!
ReplyDeleteI know someone this used to happen to. Infact the man would give her money to go and buy beer for the lady. Inside one room ooo. When she would talk, he would beat her on top. Till one day she packed her load and left. The guy lost so much weight ehn. Begged her so much till she came back. He never did it again. A completely changed man..people have gone through hell
