Actress Ini Edo Buries Father In Grand Style

Actress Ini Edo and her siblings gave their father, Elder Edo Jonathan Ekim a very befitting burial at an elaborate ceremony held at QIC Primary School, Awa Iman, Onna Local Government Area, Governor Onna, Akwa Ibom State .

The funeral of the deceased; who was also uncle of immediate past Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel was attended by a galaxy of stars.

In a condolence message, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno who was represented by his Deputy Senator (Dr) Akon Eyakenyi, 
noted that the deceased will be remembered as a devoted Christian who lived a life of faith and love.
He acknowledged Late Elder Ekim’s contributions to the development of his immediate community and dedication to raising God-fearing children who have added value to the society.

"I extend our deepest condolences to you on the unfortunate transition to glory of your beloved father, Late Elder Edo Ekim.
"Your late father was a devoted Christian who lived his life with Godly virtues and successfully implanted those values in his children and those who came in contact with him. We thank God that he lived long enough to see you, his children, grow and add commendable value to our common humanity...", he said.

While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, the State Chief Executive admonished the bereaved family to emulate the lofty virtues of their departed father and also strive to protect his legacies.

"As sad and emotionally wrenching as this moment may represent in your life and those of your family members, especially your mother, I urge you to take solace in the scripture which reminds us that the passing of a believer is the key that opens the vault of Heaven", the Governor added.

Earlier in a brief exhortation, the General Overseer of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle (Dr) John Okoriko, charged Christians on righteousness, reminding them of the need to build noble legacies while alive.
