Arakawa's will included a clause that, in the event of their deaths occurring within 90 days of each other, her assets would be directed to charity. This has left the fate of Hackman's fortune uncertain, with potential legal disputes involving his children
Gene and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found deceased in their Santa Fe home earlier this year. Hackman, aged 95, passed away due to heart disease, with Alzheimer's as a contributing factor, while Arakawa, 65, succumbed to a rare rodent-borne illness called hantavirus pulmonary syndrome days earlier.
From the times of india
Greed and entitlement mentality has finished Nigerians. He left entire fortune to his wife and nothing to his kids and so what? It's his fortune and it's his will. Nigerians really have a hard time in respecting people's wills, it's as if they just sit around waiting for their rich relatives to die so that they can enrich themselves.
ReplyDeleteYour comment lacks biblical understanding, ask God for wisdom. The bible says parents leave thier inheritance for thier children and grandchildren. It's obvious she's a strange woman cos that's how they behave selfishness.
DeleteThey are not Nigerian. They are not even black lol.
DeleteWetin concern Nigeria for here? Americans are reacting more on this news
DeleteI wonder my fellow repliers to annon 08:49
DeleteThey are even lucky it didn't happen in Nigeria, that will would have been declared null and void
DeleteWhich will would be declared null and void? A lot of men make their wives the sole beneficiaries of their estate. No court will declare it null and void as long as he wrote it when his faculties were still optimally functional and the will is registered with the government.
DeleteMoney cannot save one's soul. Both are dead money goes to the government. No wonder the children no put mouth for thier matter. Strange woman don kpai. Seems like the woman doesn't have any family. They both fied an isolated death. Just wondering why she never got a nurse for him with all the money they had
ReplyDeleteDied*
DeleteMoney hardly ever goes to the government in the US
DeleteWhere are you getting this from
They have descendants and their heirs at law will be sought out to take if their Will doesn’t say where to send it
Hnmmm I wonder what they decided to leave their kids out.
ReplyDeleteThe woman doesn't have any kids, the kids are from the man's first marriage.
DeleteI wonder o my fellow BV
DeleteHmmmm
DeleteSo she is a second wife with no kids for the man. Didn't she have other kids for other men?
The man too decided to cut off his own kids, now what will happen to his own will since there is no clause?
Very weird people
The Both Of Them Are No More
ReplyDeleteSo Government is The New Owner
Did The Children do anything wrong.
Na waoooooo
Hello iya Boys
The wife must have thought he will died before her,so she can own all his properties..lol
ReplyDeleteHe too thought he would die before her, hence his willing everything to her. Besides, I believe she thought she could pass before him, that’s why she named him her beneficiary.
DeleteHmmm 🤔🤔🤔
ReplyDeleteWhite's people matter dey tire me.
ReplyDeleteHe and his wife were extremely close. From all indications, he truly wasn't part of his kids lives till much recently.
ReplyDeleteEven if I didn't know any of that, why will he leave anything to kids who didn't care enough to be checking up on a man as old as 95 that their bodies has to be discovered a combined 5 weeks after they passed.
That's just crazy.
Her will goes to charity. His will probably be disbursed by the state or as part of hers...dunno.
P.s: Women be proper, loyal wives. Men don't leave their entire will to the types we mostly have here. It takes a level of trust and confidence in her and her abilities.
Same children that didn’t know their dad was dead for weeks? They deserve nothing. They obviously didn’t care about him.
ReplyDeleteSince the wife has died the children will end up getting everything.
