Woman And Her Baby Pass On After Alleged Quack Docs Used YouTube Videos To Perform CS

WHAT!!!.......This is unblieveable....
Mrs Favour Onyedika and her baby passed away during a Ceasarean section at Labech hospital and maternity in Imo State.
The hospital is allegedly filled with quack doctors and Mrs Onyedika had no idea.

During the C-section, the doctors allegedly forgot the entire C section procedure and instead of calling a professional to help out, they went on YouTube to use YouTube videos to perform the operation on the Lady....
Even with Doctors who know what they are doing, a c-section is a very dangerous and complicated procedure....
Anyway, the appropriate authority has been informed of this incident and they are on it....

  4. Why is it that human lives mean nothing to some people! This is so sad. May God grant them rest and comfort the family. I hope the quack doctor won't bribe his way out of the 'appropriate authority's net'.

  10. They wanted to chop the money alone instead of sharing it with a professional and saving the two lives. I hope all involved are jailed.
Rest in peace to the woman and her child.
One advice for us, don't go for treatment in a hospital unless you have made enquiry and seen their success records in the area you need treatment on. As a pregnant woman, go to where people had delivered successfully in the past through CS and the other way.

    1. Our teaching hospitals are very good. You can come over but don't go to a private hospital. The above is a private hospital.
They treated my mum very well and with affordable charges in a teaching hospital.

    2. Those ppl are going to state of the art facilities with well trained medical personnel who are experts in their fields. The facility where this unfortunate incident happened is light years away from where those who travelled for medical treatment are going. You are comparing apples to oranges.

Do your thorough research and don’t look for what is cheap or affordable, but where the stellar reputation and good outcomes are. You will find the right place for you.

    3. I remember hearing about a medical officer owning a hospital and running one, someone who hadn't even done housemanship, not to talk of the required junior residency, senior residency of many years and accompanying qualification exams.
When that happens, this is what we get.
Someone in medical school/undergraduate or one who just graduated, runs off shouting I'm a medical doctor, et voilΓ .

  26. If we dig a bit deeper we may discover that the c-section was not even necessary.

Can an investigative journalist go undercover at this hospital?

  27. News like this should not be coming out of Nigeria, it tarnishes the country and brings disrepute to a noble profession. This is very embarrassing and gives the appearance of ppl walking off the streets being able to give medical care. Who is monitoring these ‘hospitals’?

Bad enough doctors in some places are having to use their cellphone flashlight to provide light to do their work when power goes out, now they are turning to YouTube for guidance to do major surgery they have no knowledge ofπŸ™†πŸΎ‍♀️

The doctors should be held criminally liable, sanctioned by their governing body, and the hospital sued. Ridamndiculous!

  28. What kind of carelessness is this?
