Undergraduate Drowns In Bayelsa Creek Over N300 Bet
A tragic incident occurred on Sunday, February 23, 2025, when a 200-level Chemical Engineering student from the Federal University, Otuoke, reportedly drowned in the Ekoli Creek in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, over a ₦300 bet. The student betted with peers that he could swim across the creek but he submerged mid-swim and did not resurface and his body remains unrecovered......
