    Arsenal's inconsistencies is one of the reasons they find it difficult to win major trophies. Having trashed City 5-1 just a few days ago, I thought they were going to ride on that to atleast get a win against Newcastle but then, Arsenal reminded us why they are Arsenal, loosing 0-2 to Newcastle last night. It's going to be another showdown tonight between Liverpool and Tottenham. Liverpool will hope to over turn the 1-0 defeat to Spurs in the first leg of the carabao cup to advance to the final tonight.

    A PhD student at Princeton University once walked into Albert Einstein's office and asked, 'What is there left in the world for original dissertation research?' The brilliant scientist replied, 'Find out about prayer.' Einstein wasn't the only person who was curious about prayer. Jesus taught about it, and the reason was because the disciples asked him to. They may not have desired to write dissertations on it, but they wanted to know how to pray. It's the only time in the Bible where one person clearly teaches another person how to pray, and all because of a request from the disciples. 'Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray"' (Luke 11:1 NIV).

    The disciples had been observing Jesus as he prayed. Apparently, the way he prayed was so distinct from the way they prayed that they said, 'Show us how to pray the way you pray.' Before Jesus fed the multitude supernaturally, or selected his twelve disciples, or calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee, he took time to pray. And the results of his prayers were so amazing that the disciples said, 'Lord, teach us to pray.'

    I stand tall not because I have a choice, but because I have no other option.

    One thing I have come to understand and learn from life, is never to put pressure where it's not needed.

    When you find a woman attractive, don't ask for her number, rather give her your number to call you after you exchange pleasantries. If she doesn't call, she's not interested in you. It saves you the stress of chasing her. A woman will punish you for wanting her if she doesn't love you.

    If a man have to struggle for your 'love', then he doesn't need it. A lot of times it's not about another woman when a man starts withdrawing his time, emotions and commitment. He just wants himself back and be with someone who values and respect him.

    They are yet to submit to the Word of God , that says:-

    "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything , but in everything, spiritual, physical, material, financial, relational etc....
    Make your wants,your request known unto God..."

    It is indeed futile to be anxious about anything.

    It's throwback Thursday!
    Remembering how my mum was selling okirika in the market when I was little. We hardly made sales because people frowned at used clothes, they believed the clothes were for dead oyinbos. They preferred to buy materials and give tailor to sew if they cannot afford new or imported ready-made clothes.
    Those days, children who wore ready-made clothes were seen as rich kids, those of us from middle class wore materials.
    Why did my mum sell okirika since it was not moving?
    An uncle who lived abroad used to send them to her to sell and use the money to pay our school fees and other bills as our dad was sick for years.
    As time goes on, mum combined nice colourful okirika for us(kids) to wear. Beautiful shorts and colourful t-shirts, nice gowns, jeans and shirts for my brothers, etc. As people saw how nice we looked in them, they started patronising mum and she expanded the business over time. We survived on the proceeds and she kept selling okirika after dad got well and was back on his feet.
    One lesson I learned, sample what you sell or produce. Use them on yourself in addition to other adverts.

      Your mum was so smart and enterprising.
      I remember those days too, we only wore new readymade clothes during Christmas. All through the year, mum would buy materials and sew for all of us. No okirika, it was not even common, we only saw them being sold in the main market.
      Now okirika is gold, everywhere you turn, you will see it and it's expensive now.
      This life sef!
