Senator Natasha Akpoti- Uduaghan Confronts Senate President Akpabio Over Seat Re-arrangement

On Thursday February 20, 2025, Senate President Godswill Akpabio ordered the removal of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from the chamber because she refused to move to a new seat as part of a revised seating arrangement and instead began a long loud rant in the senate.

Amongst other things she said, she was heard saying to the Senate President;"I am not afraid of you, Do whatever you deem fit, but I will not leave this seat.
My voice will not be silenced.”
The Sergeant-at-Arms was called in to escort her out but other lawmakers intervened, and eventually, she was allowed to stay....

    3. Run from these kind of women. She was obviously wrong to first of all not follow protocols and secondary to scream on top of her voice like that in the hallowed chamber like a lunatic. If you don’t see anything wrong in what she did, it says more about you too.

  8. One of the reasons we mostly not buy the idea of women being in power. Why should she revolt against the laid down rules made by her superior? Was she the only one asked to rearrange her sitting position? Even if. This is just like those who argue with ushers over where to seat in an event.

No wander in 1stTimothy they said women are not allowed to speak in a congregation or have authority over the men, what led to the formation of such rules was because of the women's unnecessary disobedience to laid down rules and if they allow our present day women many of them will start appearing in the Senate chamber half nacked afterall it's body positivity. I support women in power but you mustn't go there and start acting like this. I am not saying you should allow your voice to be silenced , no, you should always stand for a just cause, that is why you are there but don't fight against laid down rules.

  15. Slim shaddy, please you and who are “ we” in your write up? “ one of the reasons “we” mostly don’t buy the idea of women being in power “ hmmmm.Let your opinion be your opinion. You do not have power to stop or allow. Are you speaking on behalf of God? Men that have been in power forever how well? Do men not fight in the chambers, have men not fought in the chambers all around the world. Stop it!! Please stop,it is 2025.

    1. Thank you for this comment. I'm not part of the "we" the ones the men have been doing, how far with it. Metcheeew.

    2. Can you imagine the flimsy thing she is fighting over? Is it worth fighting over? Next time you should exclude yourself alone, don't exclude others because you don't know if they agree with me or not. Just say "excluding me(you)"
One more thing, kindly reread my comment and you will find out that I am not against women in power. I am a strong advocate of women in power but I do not support things like what I pointed out.

  16. Y'all need to know Natasha hadn't always had it easy skin color and all ooo. Her Mother (who is Russian I think)had to hawk jewelry under the hot Okene Sun growing up and other rough tales here and there. I respect her for rising and raising her brothers along with her.
