Ogun State Govt Suspends Oba For 6 Months For Assaulting One Of His Chiefs

 The Ogun State government has announced a six months suspension of Oba Semiu Ogunjobi the Olorile of Orile-ife in Ogun State for assaulting one of his chiefs, Arinola Abraham...


In a video, Chief Arinola is seen on his knees while a man said to be Oba Ogunjobi is overheard accusing him of conspiracy, and cursing him and his family.

The traditional ruler, who is a retired police officer boosted of his influence over law enforcement agencies, as he threatened to jail the Chief.
One of the men in the video slapped Arinola, commanding him to prostrate before the monarch.

The sanction which was made available in a statement released to newsmen by Ganiyu Hazmat, the state commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, who categorically condemned the act of the Oba as Uncivil and not befitting of the status of a king.
