NeduGATE - Mister Nigeria Ugo Nwokolo Opens A Can Of Worms On Podcast Host Nedu

Mister Nigeria Supernatural Ugo Nwokolo who said '‘poor girls turn me on, the poorer the girl the more attracted I am to her’' at the honest bunch podcast in 2024 that went viral claims he was forced to say the statement by on air personality Nedu who manipulated him... He also claims that he paid N5million to appear on the show...This is messy...

“it is against my character to say such a thing because poor girls don’t turn me on. Nedu told me he owns honest bunch podcast so he said I will have to pay a certain amount, N5 million naira that if I really want to present this topic today, he is giving me the option of having to say what he tells me to say. He said I have to mention a celebrity’s name to make it go viral...
he specifically said I should mention verydarkman. Since the owner was telling me this I went on a podcast and said the things Nedu asked me to say. I was so depressed, I tried to end my life (shows a suicide note).

In my lifetime I have met manipulators, narcissts, gas lighters, scammers but Nedu is a discovery.

I won mister Nigeria supernatural 2024 and I was going to represent my country in Poland. So I reached out to Nedu, Nedu is someone I look up to as a mentor in the industry because he has been here for a long time. I reached out to him telling him I want to appear in the honest bunch podcast to discuss a topic that I think is actually valuable to Nigerians.

So, what Nedu responded to me is that I will have to pay a certain amount to appear in his podcast. I was like how much he said 5 million naira. Nedu told me that he owns honest bunch podcast and he has to settle his staffs from that amount. I said okay no problem. I had to send Nedu 5 million naira (shows a receipt) and after I sent it he said okay what is your topic. I went ahead and told him my topic is ‘eradicating classism and advocating fostering an egalitarian society. So, I went to nedu what he said to me was ‘mr Nigeria this thing wey yo dey talk nah big grammars Nigerians are dumb, they don’t like people that sound intelligent, you are not peter obi for your message to fly you have to sound dumb you don’t have to bring all those big big grammars because it is not going to fly’ that was what Nedu told me I was like okay.

I was new to the media; he is someone I respect so much I felt every counsel and advice from him is gold. So, I said okay because I didn’t think he had an ulterior motive so I took it hook line and sinker. Because I am someone that tends to believe people a lot because of my good heart. I believe since I am not nursing bad against someone the same will not be done to me. So Nedu said to me I have to sound dumb to appeal to Nigerians.
A day before the podcast, Nedu told me there is a development that someone else is coming to make the conversation interesting, I was like but that was not our agreement I paid to feature myself so why are you bringing someone else. Nedu said hmmmm there is no problem it is just to make it interesting and he said don’t worry.
I said no no no 5 million naira is not something people pluck from the tree it is my hard earned money so why are you reneging on our agreement after a lot of back and forth Nedu then agree to refund me 2 million, he said he is going to refund me the money after I make the appearance the D-day came and I said to nedu I would like to see you for briefing let me know what I am going to say, l already know but I just wanted to get briefings. Nedu said yes, it is good, he was talking to his co-host. They have dissected the topic and think it is not something that will go viral. And Nedu told me that if I want to present today, he is giving me the option that I will say what he wants me to say, I was like No, but I have my topic already. Why will you tell me what to say? He said No! this is the way it works he has to tell me what to say this is his program and he calls the shot I was speechless and dumbfounded.

He told me he is the one that will tell me what to say, I have to mention a celebrity name to make it go viral, he specifically said I should mention verydarkman and I was like but verydarkman doesn’t have anything to do with my topic it is rich men getting married to broke girls or girls in a better financial position than men. He then said I should say something like ‘poor girls turn me on, the poorer the girl the more attracted I am to her’ I said No no I am not going to say that, that is not my topic if you are insisting I say this I will have to back off take my money and leave he said he is sorry that he cant refund me because the money has been distributed to his workers that the only thing he can do I should go and come back on a later date when I am interested or ready but I said I am ready you are giving me a new topic and he said that is how it is done that I have to accept this or go back and come back so I had to think about the money I have spent, coming back is going to cost me more money I had to fly from Abuja to Lagos for the interview. I am a newbie in the industry and I foolishly agreed to that and that is what put me in the mess that I am today.

So I went on the podcast and said the things nedu asked me, manipulated me to say but I will say this I take responsibility. I am not trying to blame anybody I am just trying to tell Nigerians what actually happened and what prompted me to make that statement. The thing is it is against my character to say such a thing because poor girls don’t turn me on nedu forced and manipulated me to say that. I deserve all the insults I have gotten so far because I was the one that said it . I just want Nigerians to know what transpired. Before I went for the podcast Nedu told me something he said even saidaboj ,he was the one that told her what to say and now she has gone viral ,she is popular that I should just listen to him believe him trust him. That is what he told me. He said if he can make saidaboj who she is, who am I. I should not worry but do what he asks me to do. That is how I found myself in this mess that has deeply affected me in all ramifications. Nedu is someone that is passionately obsessed about getting views in any way he deems fit. He just wants to get views a viral moment at the detriment of the guest.
I faced the lowest point of depression, I got calls from my family members, course mates everybody saying why will you go on a podcast to say something so obtuse because that is not who they know me to be but I can’t bring myself to tell them I was manipulated because they think I am smart, it took a heavy toll on my mental health. When I went through the comment section and saw the insults which was different from what I was totally expecting ,nedu was just laughing saying I should not worry”

    2. On this one, I feel your pain; but don't know what to say to you.

Everyone knows what makes their own platform boommm; so they utilise it...

You should have said no and sued for à refund of your money.

The ones that their tears are valid valid are people they cut and join what they say; to mean something that is entirely different from what they said; for views.
      It is well...

I have long known that people are pushed to say rubbish on interviews like Nedu's own so that they can 'blow', albeit negatively.

  10. Nedu is a sharp business man, you either agree to dance to that tone that will make his business florish or not. This is same thing most tv shows do. Even your Real House Wives of L , BBN etc. They show you things that will bring the attention of people to their shows, Nedu is not the first. It has been like that for a long time, it's all about business for high profit.

  11. This one sounds like a lie. The passion he used in saying what he was saying doesn’t sound like one coming from someone that was forced to say it.

  13. That statement in bold is mostly true for majority of the Nigerian population online.
    Dumb and toxic.
Check the posts you see them well; idle gossips about celebrities, fake rumors.
They hardly have contributions to meaningful intellectual conversations online.
