NAFDAC Destroys Fake Drugs Worth N4.7 billion In Rivers State

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) recently destroyed fake, expired, and substandard products worth N4.7 billion in Rivers State. The destruction took place at the Rivers State dumpsite in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area.


The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, emphasized that this action is a strong statement of the agency's commitment to protecting public health by preventing the circulation of harmful products. The destroyed items included substandard medical products, unwholesome food, unsafe cosmetics, and other expired regulated products

    Placing a financial value on these things will look and sound lucrative for someone else to try in the hopes of not getting caught.
