ReplyDeleteThis story reminds of a lot of mishaps during 'Oso Abiola' at the old Ogbaru Atani Old road that leads to Ekwusigo Junction, Ozubulu.

DeleteEasterners coming home from Lagos out of fear for another war was boycotting the normal route ( Upper Iweka to Onitsha Owerri road) which is the gate way to Imo and Abia States, because of heavy traffic that lasted for days.
Most people that used that road did not make it, lots of accidents were recorded. Missing families here and there. That road is very long and narrow, don't know if it has been rehabilitated now.
Bridge head to Uga junction to Atani Road ( by right hand side) to Iyiowa odekpe to Okoti to Osamalla to Atani etc all in Ogbaru local government till you burst out in Ekwusigo Junction Ozubulu.
