What's the essence of all the struggles, fights and restlessness if we'll be gone someday. Sad enough, it could be anytime, anywhere under any circumstances.
I couldn't go with them to the mortuary. Some minutes later, the siren heard on the Ambulance made us know they've arrived with the corpse. Then goes off the Egbe ntu(gun powder). The sound were loud and multiple.
In Igbo tradition, though I can't really say if it's done in the whole Eastern region. It's use to welcome a dead person's corpse back home, their final abode. At such moment, the cries becomes uncontrollable as everyone is seen crying. From the children to the deceased siblings, relatives, loved ones, friends and the spouse left behind. The DJ made everyone teary with the song 'Nnem Nnem Mama, precious woman I love you mama'
May the souls of every departed mothers continue to rest in peace. Comfort to their loved ones

ReplyDeleteAnyway how do one deal with a nosey neighbour, who won't mind her business, always asking you where you're going anytime you're stepping out, if you come back early from shop too, she'll ask why, there's a huge difference between caring neighbour and a nosey one, this one is very nosey. Immediately she hears my door opening like this, she don come out, the last time I went for catering and I took my daughter to her aunty place, there's no question she didn't ask,she sha want to know where I went to, she made me a n emergency liar cos I don't like telling her where to, saw her friend in the market and that one was even asking when did I come back which means she discussed me with her friend. Normally I be ogba ,if I give her once she no go monitor me again but sha make I just dey pretend like say I no know her game. Joblessness is a disease

ReplyDeleteI’m so exhausted. Haven’t rested at all since I woke up. I had to clean the whole house today (3 bedroom apartment, with two bathrooms/toilets) so you can imagine how exhausted I am as I had to sweep and mop. People that have the mind to hire cleaners don’t know what God has done for them. Alaroro like me can never!!!!
After cleaning, went straight to cooking and I still have to take down Alex’ hair tonight so she can wash it and make her birthday hair tomorrow.
The next few days will be something else for me, in terms of stress. Because cake and photoshoot still dey wait me for front 😂
