A final-year student at the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Awele Eluemunor, was killed by a 100-level student who was learning how to drive.
The accident occurred in Agbor, Delta State, when the young woman lost control of the vehicle and hit pedestrians.
Awele, who was set to graduate in November, lost her life at the scene.
The boyfriend of the learner, who is allegedly a suspected internet fraudster, fled the scene immediately after the accident and it is not known if he has been arrested or not.
Awele was laid to rest on Friday February 21, 2025.. May her soul rest in peace
