A fire outbreak at an Islamiya school in Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State has claimed 17 lives. All the victims were said to be Almajiri students who were burnt beyond recognition while their charred bodies littered the building.

A Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday fixed March 18 for ruling on the preliminary objection the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited filed against a suit by Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE over an oil import licence dispute. Justice Inyang Ekwo fixed the date after counsel to the NNPCL, Ademola Abimbola, and lawyer to Dangote Refinery, John Ibrahim, presented their arguments and adopted their processes for and against the suit.
