Investigations showed that Her boyfriend and his friends were killed by the fumes from generator (carbon monoxide)
She says
“I did not know anything about the pepper soup. I did not cook pepper soup that day. The boy that died, his best friend named Eze na Japan posted me wanted, it was my friend that screenshotted it and showed it to me. That anybody that sees me he will give the person 500 thousand naira saying I am the one that poisoned him. We were on our way to the police station to report and on our way going the same Eze na Japan and his friend blocked our way saying they want to kill me that I am the one that cooked pepper soup
Counsel to the accused Ibude Osamwonyi said he decided to pick up the case after being convinced by some friends, mostly human rights activists, that the girl was framed. The situation that made the DPP let her go since the death of the boys was attributed to generator fumes left inside where they slept. Because of her age they could not take her to prison that was why she was remanded at welfare. Looked at her case file and saw that there was nothing linking her. Even one of the fathers of the victim said she never came to the house on that day.
Roy olibabo, a human rights activist one of those who drew attention of the council to intervene said when he reached there the place was just like a market square, the first thing I saw was 4 liters of petrol they wanted to burn the house and the girl. I saw my language people there and I was told to calm down because they don’t know me. Seeing the information on the internet I was very bothered”

Who came up with the pepper soup story at first? That person should have been apprehended and made to prove the allegation or face the law of defamation.
