The shrine, operated by a self-proclaimed native doctor Ekene Igboegbueze, was shut down following numerous complaints from residents. The government has also sealed properties linked to the operation and plans to conduct forensic examinations on items found in the shrine.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security, Ken Emeakayi, emphasized that Igboegbueze's business is illegal under Anambra State Homeland Security Laws.
