Actress Funke Akindele Says She Is A Feminist Who Does Not Support Women Disrespecting Their Men

In her words;
"I'm a feminist but I do not support women disrespecting their husbands.I believe that we as women are not lesser or weaker vessels.Men are supposed to treat us specially , men are supposed to respect their women, women should respect their men.
You shouldn't feel because she's the woman, she belongs to the kitchen, you maltreat or talk to her anyhow, No!, we are strong, we are bold, we can do things and our economic power is very important to us, that's why we protect it and we make sure we have that economic power so we can decide and support our husbands".

    1. This gender war will never have a winner. And even if a winner emerges, it will never be women.

As a woman, I look at people first as human beings before I look at gender. Whether we like it or not, whether we argue or not, the one who made us clearly states that despite being equal, "a man is the head of a woman".

Since we know more than our maker, or since we claim to know more than HIM, let's continue to fight war without end.

  3. Nigerian men don't know the difference between feminism and domestic issues. There is nothing like feminism in marriage or relationships they are domestic issues.
Feminism is women's rights to vote, women's rights to employment with equal pay and equal rights in the work place, girls rights to education, girls rights not be married as children. That is feminism, anything that happens in your home, marriages and relationships are all domestic issues, it is nobody's business but your business, it has nothing to do with feminism.

    1. Blame Nigerian men, when it's the badly behaved woman that go about screaming that they're feminist

    2. Well said, nigerian men think feminism is a woman refusing to wash their boxers or saying they are too tired to cook when they are 9 months pregnant, or even being rude to them. Domestic issue is really different from feminism.

    4. I no dey reply any anon..
      But to answer you @Slim

Feminism is what the majority believe it is and understand it to be.

Nigerian men are not the problem here, leave us out of it and be accountable for once, look around you, look everywhere and see the people who claim to be feminist and their disgusting behaviour, face them for giving feminism a bad name..

In theory, feminism might have good definition, but what we see in practice is what matters.. and the practice is badly behaved women with shitty characters.. doing nonsense challenge and giving bad advice everywhere..

Toke: a woman should have a one night stand..

Amber rose: free the nipple challenge..

And all other nonsense, going naked and dressing like a prostitute calling it women liberation,. Women liberation to what, to ashawo era??
These women I mentioned above are acclaimed feminist ..

Maybe you should face the MANY bag eggs in your midst than the people who are stating a fact as regards the reality on ground.

      God bless 🙏🏾
