Happy for you dear
ReplyDeleteSo outside of producers and directors, actresses are also expected to sleep with MARKETERS??? What I don't understand about Nigerian women is, if you are faced with so much sexual harassment and exploitation, why do you worsen your situation by dressing indecently? Imagine the actresses who went to an audition without bras??? If Ngozi Ezeonu was a man, we all know how the audition would have ended. The actresses themselves sexually harass men to make progress in the industry. God forbid. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

ReplyDeleteThere has been an epidemic of sexual harassment in many spheres of life in Nigeria long ago. Nollywood amplified and still amplifies the mess in the society. I once quit a very good multinational job in the 90s Lagos because I refused to sleep with my director. He nearly assaulted me when I took a document to his office. I later learnt that he was sleeping with all the women in the department, married and single. My assistant said she had been wondering when my turn would come. I left the job and eventually left the country. They all cooperated with their oppressors to keep their jobs because jobs were scarce! You will be surprised at how many women are silently enduring it in their workplace as I write. Some actually have stockholm syndrome and now dress the way their oppressor wants them to, failing to recognize the evil of sexual harassment.
ReplyDeleteIn the marketplace you get harassed with cat calls of “yellow”, “fine girl”, etc with some actually touching you. There is need for education of the society about what constitutes sexual harassment and how each person should report even if they are not the direct victims. That is after putting laws in place to ensure prosecution in both the workplace and public sphere. We take anti sexual harassment computer based continuing education not only in workplaces but to maintain your license in many professions. Society must remain vigilant to stop this evil of subtly converting women (and men in some instances) to toys of perverted users.
