ReplyDeleteMy birthday is coming soon and I'm planning to order a cake for myself to celebrate it.
Since I got married, I have never celebrated with a cake. Not because I can't afford it but because I didn't think it was necessary for me. I use cake to celebrate my children's birthdays most years, so I just thought it should remain a children's thing now that I'm married. I only snap professional photos with new clothes, nice makeup and hair and post on my pages.
My husband too does not fancy cakes for birthdays(for both adults and kids o), the man na proper old school man 🤣.
He would buy me a gift and then take me out for dinner in any restaurant of my choice. He believes the money for cake which (according to him) contains sugar and other unhealthy junks should be used to buy a nice wine with correct fish peppersoup or barbeque, chicken and chips, seafood soup with correct pounded yam, peppered snails, etc.
In the case of a child, take him or her to a nice children's park in addition to gift and a nice meal outdoors. He doesn't believe in cakes for an adult especially.
This year, I will surprise him with a cake for myself which I will cut at any joint he takes me to, I will post the cake on my page and caption it "thanks for the great treat my sweet husband" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then I will buy a cake for him on his birthday too. I know he will later condemn it after some days but I will sha buy it for him and snap him and post on his page (I'm his page manager 🤣)
