Yesterday, my TL on Facebook, was filled with posts of a man who doused his wife with petrol, and set her ablaze, and she died. Sad, pathetic stuff! Alot of my friends said they watched the video, and I wonder how people have the mind to watch such gory things. I just can't! 🥺

I’ve known dante’s online personality for about a decade and I think he needs to take a break off of social media for a while. For years he’s been fighting to have his masculinity recognized which is often a sign of very deep rooted trauma. He is obviously a very troubled man and I don’t think it’s fair to bait him out because of blog traffic, entertainment and engagement. If you people were friends with him and really have his best interest at heart, send him an email, call, or reach out to him through Teejay or whichever members of his fan club.

ReplyDeleteSo, this boy was chosen with other students In upper class to represent his school in a spelling bee and transcription competition just few weeks after joining the school because his vocabulary was large .
ReplyDeleteWhen they did sub test, he was able to spell 150 words out of the 250 words thanks to his former school.
The preparation wasn't easy, we used phones to get the right pronunciation, transcription and meaning.
He had just 3 weeks to learn the remaining 100 big words plus 250 transcription but we were able to learn the words but couldn't finish with the transcription.
He went with others for the competition, on getting to the event and they saw many schools, some students dropped out saying they can't face crowd.
When it got to his turn, he answered 8 out of 10 questions but he could have answered the whole 10 but he kept asking them to repeat the words(you know phonetics can whine especially when you don't attend a school where everyone speaks and pronounce properly)
They took fifth out of 30 schools and one of the teachers that went with them, told him clearly that he made them took the fifth position with his talk talk and he felt really bad till he got home.
He asked me not to confront the woman and I kept it to myself, when I went for open day last term, the woman still said it in my presence when she was telling the proprietress how good my son was with a different tone.(She said this boy head na fire but he Sabi talk eh).
yesterday they gave him 300 words to study, that he will be going for the same competition and I said NO, others should also try.I know how much we both prepared for it, only for one person to rubbish you.
Do you all think that's a good decision because I have asked him to return the copy they have him.

Make a joke about the adult with your son and make him understand that the feedback is water off a beautiful swan’s back and he should be himself.
DeleteAs an adult, when you heard that nonsense comment, you should have called the proprietress and offending teacher aside and given them a proper tongue lashing. Spice it up with threats that if it gets back to your son or he’s made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, you will be less than civil with the offending teacher.

You should have cautioned the teacher right there not to dampen his spirit.

DeleteWe should try and speak out when any injustice is done to our child or even ourselves. That way, your child will see you as his defender, his supporter, his number one fan and King Kong. As for the competition, let him participate, it is for his own good, not for the school's reputation alone. You are building him for future success. He may get a scholarship in future and other good things. Remember that is not the only school he will attend in life, he will still go to secondary school and higher institution.
Before you let him participate, go and warn that woman. Tell her that you found her comments very inappropriate and that it affected your son's morale. Tell her that such should not repeat itself.
Pls Mariam allow your son to participate, report that teacher to the school head, you pay school fees, no one should bully your son, not after making the school proud. Ani is it easy to take fifth position out of thirty schools?

So, on Monday she was vomiting and pooped thrice. It didn't seem much considering that when Andre was that age, he had diarrhoea and pooped 11 times in a day for 4 days. I was wrong.🤦
She was veryyy weak. I wanted to get ors and do everything myself at home but just changed my mind and went to the hospital on Tuesday morning. Immediately we got there, they checked her vitals. Her pulse very low. 55. From then on, chaos. The doctors and nurses kept doing many things. Back story, a 3yr old child died of diarrhoea the day before I came. Here was my 1yr old baby with low pulse? Hell no! Everybody!
After the first 250ml drip and antibiotic shot, she was stable. Pulse shot up to 135. I had even started making calls and gisting. Then they came to administer flagyl drip. Half of it. I was still cool. 5secs later, her eyes entered inside, she started gasping for air and breathing very fast. Jesus! Coman see me. "Oreva weti you dey do me? My mama don die finish?"
They gave her one injection like that and stopped all drips. That we should now focus on normal ors. Oreva was almost unresponsive now, but for the fast, loud breaths. Fidelia was in a puddle of tears.
They started tapping her, so she can open her mouth for them to be pouring the ors. She nor gree dey open mouth. Give me that child!! When I slapped this girl!! "who you dey die leave?!", she opened mouth by force... I was pouring the ors. My whole life was in that ors! That was how I kept slapping and giving her ors till 6am. It was 6am, after 8hrs, she opened her eyes weakly. My husband had already returned. Himself and Andre. It was a lot.🥺🥺

We now started watching one series like that "You have my heart" which airs every night.
Omo, it was then that I confirmed what they do say here concerning Indian series. Intellect-reducing, brain-dulling, annoying and yet addictive. I have stopped my daughter from watching it, I chase her to go and sleep as soon as it is time (9:pm). I don't want her to be addicted to such, let her young brain continue to function well abeg 🤣.
You will see them imagining action that they should take for real, it would be imagination instead 🤣
Somebody will come back from work and enter inside the house, they will start zooming everyone present one by one as they stare at the person that came back from work. Abasi o!
This is why British and American series are my all-time favorites.
However, there is another one that airs immediately after the above mentioned, that is "An unusual tale". It airs by 10:pm. This one is manageable, it is thought-provoking and more intelligent. I do enjoy that one but I still watch the dull one for reasons unknown to me, maybe I just want to see how it will end, that is if they will end it 🤣.
