The Prodigal Son eventually came back home and was restored to his place in the family. When he lost everything and ended up feeding pigs, the Bible says, 'He came to himself' (Luke 15:17 NKJV). It's hard to watch someone you love suffer, but sometimes they need to hit the bottom in order to turn around. The Prodigal's breaking point became his turning point. 'I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned"' (Luke 15:18 NKJV).
His father was a good parent with a rebellious child. If that describes you, here's some sound advice: (1) Don't blame yourself and beat yourself up. (2) Don't judge your children's weaknesses from your position of strength. The reason they cannot see is because they are spiritually blind. But God can open their eyes. Jesus said, 'No one can come to me unless the Father...draws him' (John 6:44 NKJV). You do the praying, and let God do the drawing. (3) Keep your heart and your door open. When the Prodigal Son finally came to his senses, he knew where to go; back home to the father who loved him.
You cannot save your children from the consequences of their actions, and you may not be able to lessen the pain they're going through. But if you pray, keep your heart and your door open, God can bring them back. 'Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it' (Proverbs 22:6 NLT). That's a promise you can stand on today.

Thursdays are magnificent . Cause they remind me of Fridays and the weekend.
I was at a gathering. Let's call it a get together. I am not the type that leaves my comfort zone.
I rarely accept invitations for any celebrations at all. My close friends call me anti-social.
I accepted this invitation just to get of my shell.
Party jollof was stewing everywhere. That kind of firewood party jollof you only get to see at Owambe in Lagos parties.
When it got to item seven, we were served. I digged my spoon in and tasted the most amazing , sumptuous jollof you can think of. Everything was as it supposed to be. The pepper, spices, tomatoes etc.
You know, after my myom surgery, I eat light to avoid bloating. I had only consumed about six spoons when I noticed a rumbling coming from my tummy.
I didn't pay attention at first. I excused my self to the ladies and let out a fat fart. I Tip toed to my table and was about to continue my meal then I started running back again to the loo.
I was confused at first and embarrassed. My friends offered their support and I told them it's not working, I am heading home.
I got home and it only became worse , after much back and forth to the loo. I gained a little strength to carry myself to the hospital. I was referred to the lab to run some stool samples and other tests.
Finally, yours truly recovered with a lesson.
Go with your intuitions, you can never be wrong. If a place doesn't feel right , take your leave.
