The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has announced a nationwide protest scheduled for February 4, 2025 in response to the 50% increase in telecommunications tariffs approved by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on January 20, 2025.
The NLC strongly condemned the increase and describes it as an "assault" on Nigerian workers and the general public, who are already facing economic hardships.
