  4. With all this increment, what benefits have the common Nigeria benefit from it all? Even the bank electronic charges of N50 from 10,000 and above.

I wanted to transfer 10,000 to someone. We both uses same bank and it will be zero charge on transfer at my end but the person will get 9950 instead of 10,000 due to the N50 charge. This person pleaded I make the transfer twice as in two batches so it won't accrue the N50 charge since it's not a single transfer of N10,000.

I understand and I did it as requested. To me, I may not see N50 as a big deal but to some persons removing it from their account means a whole lot.

  7. 50percent is a significant increase, but I believe it stems from the need to keep up with rising cost in the market. I have faith in my country peeps,we will overcome this challenge. We have faced countless difficulties before and managed to get through them. We might grumble about it for a while ,but eventually,we will adapt and meooovvvv.

    1. This is the sole reason our politicians get away with their rascality cos you guys aren't rated. Do you know what caused the uprising in Kenya last year? Go and read it and see how a financial bill was introduced and the people revolted. Sadly their was a bloodshed but the bill couldn't fly anymore. It was suspended.

I don't think Nigerians can achieve such with mentality and comment like yours I just read.

    2. Oh come on Teejay, Are you suggesting we take drastic measure like protesting with placards to Asorock and cry rivers?? Or resort to violence? If so,i hope you re willing to lead the charge? You mentioned the violent consequences of a protest in Kenya, so I must ask, who,s blood are you willing to risk being shed ?certainly not yours I presume.

    3. I will take it you don't get my comment very well. Let me make it more clearer to you. Do you know why people who commit crimes most especially electoral crimes will boldly tell you to go to court? If you get the answer, relate it to your comment. There lies why Nigeria is the way it is.

  9. This government is just testing waters with our tolerance level. Fuel subsidy that was removed, what is one meaningful thing they did with the money in the last one year? At least if they stopped paying, what did they use the money for?
I'm sorry to break it to y'all, things will only go from bad to worse. They even paid some influencers to push the increment in Telco Tarrifs? Just imagine that! We are in for a long ride....we never see anything

    1. Bro,

Subsidy wasn't removed like we were made to understand. The government is still paying but this time in an organized criminalized way. I won't say more than that.

Nigeria doesn't seem like what's getting better anytime soon.

  14. Telecoms are private business owners and unfortunately the economy is hitting them too. Many are facing huge running costs and have had to increase salaries for their staff.
If this increase was done transparently commensurate with their running cost then it’s not their fault. Many of us do not know that many telecom masts in Nigerian are powered by diesel. And the cost is also rising. When an economy is bad , every sector will collect
