ECOWAS Officially Announces The Withdrawal Of Burkina Faso, Mali, And Niger From The Organisation

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has officially confirmed the withdrawal of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger from the organization. This decision, which took effect on January 29, 2025, after months of diplomatic tensions and political shifts within the region.

The three countries, led by military governments, cited ECOWAS's alleged alignment with former colonial powers and failure to support their fight against terrorism as reasons for their departure.
They have formed their own security partnership called the Alliance of Sahel States and strengthened alliances with Russia, Turkey, and Iran.

This is not true. I wish I can educate you what this is all about but very busy at the moment to type that much. Maybe some other time.

This is the best thing African countries are coming up with and at the right time.

You'll see what becomes of these countries soon.

  2. I love this so much. It's a win for Africa. The continent is about to rise against Western interference and supremacy. I see other African countries joining them soon.

A new and official passport has also been launched. The trio countries no longer uses ECOWAS passport.

Change is coming on the continent.

Nothing trumps being independent from this Colonial master in guise of Foreign Aid

I hope they keep to the Aim n purpose of the Newly formed Alliance and not become worse than the former

  8. Historical colonialism morphed into neo-colonialism. Most African nations are at the bottom of every quality of life index that exists, and that is with connection to commonwealth and interventions from their past colonist masters. How is it working out for Africans? Mayotte which is a French territory had a devastating storm that took many lives and destroyed the place. The country did not look prosperous before the storm and just horrific afterwards. A whole forgotten people on the planet.

Too much economic predatory behaviour on the continent from entities who don’t give a rat’s ass about the continent. From killing big game for sport, seckual exploitation of the poor, flooding countries with illicit drugs, creating more death and mayhem, stealing land and natural resources, testing pharmaceuticals on innocent ppl. Far too many African leaders are clueless and useless, while they rule nations where their citizens don’t even live long enough to make a meaningful impact on nation building, outsiders know this and exploit the fck out of them, all while laughing to the bank.
