Three persons including two women have been confirmed dead following a tragic motor accident that occurred on Tuesday morning at Takie Roundabout in ogbomoso, oyo state.
Reports say that the incident occurred when a truck carrying a container lost control and overturned onto a commercial tricycle, killing the three occupants on the spot.
An eyewitness revealed that the truck veered off while navigating a bend near a roundabout causing the container to topple and crush the tricycle.
The two women and the tricycle were trapped under the heavy load and despite efforts to rescue them, they were confirmed dead

In which part of the world is this a norm if not in Africa!!!! Why should something like this still be happening. You cannot drive beside a truck without praying and praying hard. People made it into the new year in good health and something as unnecessary as this, takes their life!!!! wtf!!!! May the souls of the departed, rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteHonestly Eka Joy. Anytime I'm in a vehicle and it gets side by side with a container truck, I pray very hard until the vehicle leaves the side of the truck. I literally have my heart in my hand at that moment.
DeleteE reach to para....Nigeria has no value for human lives and we the citizens aint any better than the leaders of the day....

ReplyDeleteThese heavy trucks should be using the road only from 9pm-6am, that way, accidents like this can be averted.
ReplyDeleteOr better still, they should have their own roads. This is so sad 😭
DeleteOnly in Nigeria road laws are violated. Trailers and heavy duty lorries dragging road with regular road users.
DeleteSo sad,may their souls rest in peace 🙏🏿😔
ReplyDeleteOh ! I am emotional already, these people prepared and left their house oo, with hope of coming back home chai ,it is well with their family.
ReplyDeleteMay their souls rest in peace......still in denial of someone that sells around me that was killed by a truck on Monday Evening.
ReplyDeleteMy God! This is so sad 😭. May their souls rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteThe traffic guys would never arrest these truck drivers even when their containers are not well secured. Seems the masses have to protest these trucks before anything is done
ReplyDeleteWell let the Oyo governor arrest the owner of the truck and jail them and they should also face trial since Oyo state is the trailblazer of justice
ReplyDeleteThis is heartbreaking, how can this kind of thing still be happening in our country? May God rest their souls.
ReplyDeleteGod please protect us
