My quite good looking neighbour's wife walked out of their marriage about two years ago, she asked to return to the marriage about a year or less after she walked out and he said no. He got remarried last week to a very lovely young woman who is so different from the former wife. The ex had great looks, tall, and everything that is physically appealing but she was quarrelsome. The new wife is far less attractive, but has an amazing personality, short, humble and much more dutiful and old fashioned, never heard even a raised voice from her. There will always be someone to take and cherish what another has rejected and they may even be a better person too.
