In my opinion, parents have a lot of work to do, in terms of having important conversations with their kids, on dating and marriage. This generation of youths are obsessed with the Glitz, Glamour and Razzmatazz that comes with the Wedding, but they aren't sufficiently equipped for the realities that come with Marriage. The flimsy/stupid reasons for divorce these days, is sufficient proof of this!

Last last, world nor be like before again. Things don really spoil. People dey sin now with their full chest and damn the consequence.

I thought it was red network (yeye) that was having issues, but then the green decided to join. From different people's status yellow network was the Oga. Seems like i will look for my spectranet modem and start using it. End of rant.

ReplyDeleteI started job searching in January and joined all available jobs groups on WhatsApp and telegram. Was getting interviews but the distance was a problem because of my daughter. Didn't want to go too far from home.
I literally informed all my contacts on WhatsApp and people I come in contact with while selling my wares at the hospital. Then in October, I revamped my CV after taking a free course. A friend requested for my CV, went for the interview but didn't hear from them after then. Was at Shiloh when I told God to surprise me amazingly, there is still enough time in 2024 to receive my blessings. My husband over took care of us this year and deserved help and a pat at the back.
It was on Tuesday I checked my mail and saw a message from them to come for salary negotiation, I collected my offer letter yesterday. Workplace not too far from home, a decent pay and flexible work hours. What more can I say than better is the end than the beginning of a journey. Year 2024 ended well. Resuming January. My God of 11th hour showed up. Somebody shout hallelujah, I have rolled on the floor, and I cried in gratitude to God ๐๐๐๐๐๐

ReplyDeleteStill contemplating of traveling or not this festive period. Still weighing the possibility of it. Christmas celebrations in Rivers State is usually not all that fun compare to the celebrations down there in the East.
ReplyDeleteBy 30th and 31st, Port Harcourt is almost empty. Non indigenes don't celebrate new year in Rivers State. Some will celebrate Christmas in Port Harcourt but you see new year, forget it. This is why the rush and motor parks activities on the 30th and 31st are usually double than other days of traveling during the festive period of Christmas.
So, it's usually boring here from 30th till the end of first week of January when normalcy and business activities will resume.
If I won't travel, I will need the presence of one sweet thick baby to keep me company. She don't need to do anything. Just eat, sleep, take her bath and watch movies. All she just need is a rest from a noisy world. I will do all the chores and dishes. I will make her feel like the Queen she is. That's how romantic I am.....
