Netflix Reacts To Viral Rumour That It Is Exiting Nigeria

There are speculations that Netflix which entered Nigeria in 2016 has exited the Nigeria market due to the country’s economic challenges, as well as regulatory pressures.
Reacting to the viral reports, Netflix in a statement sent to TechCabal, stated that it remains firmly committed to its operations in Nigeria
“We are not exiting Nigeria. We will continue to invest in the country’s stories to delight our members.”

  2. How a group of people, for political bitterness, will just continue to wish evil to happen to their country is simply unbelievable.

  10. It has nothing to do with the government but with our producers. Are they too dodgy for Netflix to handle?

  11. Thank God they have stop paying these producers Mo, Kunle, Elvis and CO.
I am very pleased, they will pay them $1M, they will use $150K to make a film and pocket the rest.
Are they not worst than politicians, imagine if these people where in a position of power will they not do worst?
The problem with Nigeria is not the country but the people.
Remove 80% of Nigerians from this country, replace them with Europeans or Chinese , come back in 10years to see how beautiful this country will be.
So yes this is a very good development, let them go and disgrace themselves and name some where else.
They did not even think of whether Netflix will recoup the money heavily invested.
All they want to just to chop chop chop like hungry desperate people.
