Christmas was fun growing up, there was love , sharing and peace between families…different clothes designs with styles π But I won’t forget that year that bee π sting me on my way to my boyfriends house π€£π€£ while passing through the bush, it’s short cut and I didn’t want anyone to see me π π that’s how I returned home in tears to meet my mom
She asked where did it happen, I couldn’t say cos which mouth i wan take talk say na man house i been dey go? Kai π«£
When we were kids it was lovely and enjoying, but since this adulthood hmmm, I don't even know what to tell sef, but I believe las las I go dey alright
As a child, my Christmas was fun except one Christmas like that, that my mum tailor did not sew my cloth but my mum used Mineral and big Chicken to compensate me.
As a teenager, Christmas day was always fun. We start prepping from the 24th, so cooking on the D day will be a bit easy. We cooked jollof rice, fried rice, coconut rice, pounded yam, egusi and white soup. And we always made chin chin, like lots of it. And then we invite our neighbours to come eat, and gist. Now OYO is the case.
My fellow kids then would be elegantly dress in beautiful Christmas dress, you know those ones that look like wedding gowns, with nice koko shoes I would look and admire them and wish we were Christians lols . My family was the only Muslim in the whole compound, you know how Lagos Island houses with plenty rooms so during every Christmas, all the neighbors would serve us with hot jollof rice and chicken with bottled coca-cola you can never find me in our room on Christmas days, I dey my Christian friends house eating, playing and dancing chai my childhood was superbπ₯°π₯° I will never forget those days that made me love Christmas a lot π². Mercy, Juliet, Simone, Gloria , Shade and Faith God bless you guys for those daysπ
When we were kids Christmas was more fun. By now we must have finished eating, wear our Christmas clothes and shoes, ready to go visit relatives for Christmas money. ' gbara m kirisimas'
Should I say this is the lowest Christmas ever, no food, no money. Just at home, my neighbor just gave me zobo. but hoping for a better year ahead.amen
My neighbours be spoiling me with food and plenty meat steady since this morning.9 o'clock first rice landed,a neighbour landed me with big catfish, she said come and point and take.My other neighbour land me with live chicken(she sells them).I thought it would end there o, na so them still cook send to me,plenty food for my freezer like this,i don chop tire. What am I saying in essence? This Xmas is a beautiful one for me.It's amongst my top Christmases because I feel the genuine love.
Never had a bad Christmas experience, it keeps getting better. Just that for the first time ever i spent Christmas outside my home...adulthood is real indeedππ
Back then in Kaduna, the 24th night was always the highlight for us,we call it WATCHNIGHT,every family in our face me I slap you compound will be busy grilling and frying chicken and beef, while tomatoes were already boiled for stew for the next day. On Christmas day we will cook and exchange food with neighbouring families. After enough feasting, we would put on our Christmas clothing (AND CO.) with correct rubber eye glasses to match, we would hit the street visiting relatives homes where we would receive monetary gift, this joyful activities would continue through out the day until evening, leaving us pleasantly exhausted from all the "wakaabouts"by then some of us Don remove our oversized cover shoes hold for hand the come house lol. Kai! I missed my childhood christmas, that was when Christmas was Christmas.
Mine was always fun, especially when we were still living in Edo state,my dad always buy goat to be slaughtered, may his soul rest in peace, after cooking we share to neighbors, friends and relatives, then my late dad takes us out to amusement park, zoo and visit relatives, dad though you are gone,u will always remain in our hearts We thank God for life......... Josaria
My worst Christmas was when banger landed on my toes and exploded, I didn't wear shoes that Christmas and New year, that was 30 years ago, till now particular toe nails overlap!
