Suspected cultists on Friday November 1, 2024 afternoon killed a man identified as Nonso in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
Nonso the third son in a family of three sons is said to have lost two of his brothers earlier in similar incidences attributed to cultism.
A source said Nonso was killed in broad daylight on Friday afternoon near Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, which is popularly known as Amaku.

Another close family source says, Nonso’s killing is linked to the murder of his younger brother, Buchi, who was felled three months ago around MacDon Eatery.
Their eldest brother had also met a brutal end in a previous attack the source said. This chain of incidents leaves their mother without a child.
Awka has recently been a hotbed for cult-related killings, with 16 recently killed in Nibo and seven more in the Ifite Awka area and despite repeated assurances from law enforcement agencies, the bloodshed persists.
Anambra State Police Commissioner, Nnaghe Obono Itam, has condemned the latest killing, promising a thorough investigation.

Cultism never pays but they wouldn't wanna hear that truth. I would have been one at the university, Vikings(Norsemen) if it does pay but God carved my path in life. Almost all my friends came on board but my steps were directed by God. Some persons thought I was one at the time and some sees me as an erstwhile.
ReplyDeleteOnce you brace cultism, your days on earth are numbered. Yes death is death and everyone will die someday but the question is, how did you die? On what circumstances?
You lose your freedom the very day you anchor and blaze the ship. You live in perpetual fear always. You now have boundaries you keep to yourself and eventually you lose the normal way of living due to fear of the unknown.
Forget about the gyrations, doings and monetary display. The end point is untimely death or destruction of one's family or loved ones. I have seen all there's to advise anyone why they shouldn't take that route.
