One of the BIGGEST prayer points of any couple expecting a child, is to have a HEALTHY baby.
ReplyDeleteWhen my wife was pregnant with both our kids, I always put my hand on her stomach, and prayed daily, along the lines of, "you will not be deformed. You won't come with any ailments. Your height and shape will be normal. Your fingers and toes will be normal..." etc. My wife sometimes will laugh and say "but no one in both our families has these things. Why you dey fear?". I always tell her, "omoh, e no matter ooo. I dey tell God wetin I want".
Honestly, raising special needs kids, or babies who have all kinds of ailments, is not easy for any parent at all.
To every expectant couple on this blog, may you deliver healthy babies! May your joy not be cut short. And may the blessing that adds NO SORROW, be your portion. Amen! 🙏

Growing up those years when we were still kids, I remember this children drama we had in my yard. I should be less than 10yrs at the time. So there this Yoruba family living in the same yard with us. The man had this beautiful daughter named Bola. So both of us played husband and wife role in that drama. I was dressed in suit and she was on gown almost like a wedding gown. We paraded from the compound and got outside the gate.
Onlookers were just laughing. We made little money that day and after the parade, we(kids) drank and ate biscuits. That was how we were being referred as husband and wife in the yard oo.
Few years later, Bola's family moved out from the yard. I felt it I won't lie. No be today ahewo don dey my eyes😂😂
Guess whom I saw this week? Yes Bola. Looking so beautiful and gorgeous. I heard someone shouting ''my husband'' ''my husband'' I was shocked at first and was staring at her until she mentioned her name and reminded me about it. I shouted and almost hug her. WOW!!!!
People easily recognize me but I can't seem to recognize people easily. I don't know why.
Bola is now married with kids. So happy seeing her.

I remembered one day, I was tired of homemade food so I called hubby that when coming back from work he should help me buy Amala and jollof rice. He paused for a minute and asked who wants to eat both, I said his baby😂. He bought them and I sat on the floor and devour them all. Na there I take reach lala land, I slept off immediately😂😂😂
I didn't have any weird cravings but whenever my cravings comes, like grilled tilapia and fried rice or what ever food.

ReplyDeleteIt's that time of the year again when people feel pressured by the yuletide season. One advice i always give mothers is that you should never have to spend so much that you regret it. The season of Christmas will come and go. There will be bills, there will be school fees next session, there will be hunger pangs that is usually common with January, there will be unforeseen emergencies that requires money.
In all of this, as we spend to make the kids happy let us also set aside the rainy days cash for these aforementioned emergencies.
God will make it easy for us.

Truly life is Empty, sometimes when I think of how I will die one day after suffering, how I may not even live to see my children's children, how people will be thrown into sadness when I die, where I will go after death, what happens to my soul, is heaven and hell real? Will I reincarnate elsewhere and continue living again there? Will my should just be roaming around? Etc etc
I always almost have mental breakdown , so I just quickly brush the thoughts aside and live in the moment. I cherish the moment and pray and hope for better.
