The Sixth Finger Translation...

Do you believe in this?  The Yorubas call it "Aje"....Does it have a name in your tribe? I dont know what Delta people call it but this looks like a 6th finger that didnt develop....

  1. Some people believe that those who have it would be well to do. In actual sense, it is just a superstition. I have seen shoe makers and truck pushers have it.

  3. I don't really believe in it. Some people own comes out or grow bigger than the one up there. Some people believe in it to the extent that they are the ones that will collect money from the first buyer and gives it back to the owner of the shop. It might be their child or relative.

    My Mamalicious told me I have it too but it was cut off..

  7. I think it's a defect from birth. My childhood neighbour had it on both hands & we playfully pull at it But when it grew some more, she was operated on to remove them.

  9. There's a long-standing superstition that if a person with sixth finger is your first customer of the day, it's a guarantee that you will sell out your entire wares. Seriously, people think that having them as first customer brings good luck. As a child, I used to envy people with it because of the good luck myth surrounding them. Hahahahaha πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

  11. In Yoruba it's called olugbodi... Some believe that people with it can't rear animals , that those animals will keep dying.. so I heard o.
