Your problem, if you like no put Nigeria for head,be acting like Nigeria is a joke even when you know Nigeria and Nigerians make you what you are as a musician today. This same nation with our rich culture and language which you sing with gave you a voice so stop pulling the country down.
Abegi. Each Najainian always better than all other Naijanians. A Nation ever plenti in Churhes and Mosques on worship days. Yet... A people having patriotism that is Nationwide, but half-an-inch deep.
Why is he crying wolf that they want to cancel his show, after all he advised people not to come that the country was in shambles. Yeye dey smell. We all know the country is in a mess but then trying to demarket it was totally wrong
Why would they cancel his show because he said. Vindictive enforcement of the law or vindictive use of State power diminishes the respect for both the law and State power. That is what he has just done - to further diminish and satirize State power. The State just provided fodder for more jokes about its power. They should have used the opportunity and his subsequent post to market the economy. But then somethings are HARD to sell. And they know it more than us who defend their actions and inactions most. Meanwhile, how are prices of staple food at your ends?
I don't know If some Nigerians reason upside down. Davido is the top 1% social class in Nigeria. He lives in a bubble and can say basically lie and say everything is fine. He would have nothing to lose and much to gain saying that. For him to actually speak like he is completely one of us, affected by the current economic turmoil, is something to be commended and not criticized.
