  1. Your problem, if you like no put Nigeria for head,be acting like Nigeria is a joke even when you know Nigeria and Nigerians make you what you are as a musician today. This same nation with our rich culture and language which you sing with gave you a voice so stop pulling the country down.

    2. Anon 20:56 Context matters. The question was about those who would want to return to Africa in light of the displeasure with Trump 2.0. He said the truth. Investors do t make decisions based on the entertainment channel that interviewed him. They have Bloomberg TV, CNBC and all kinds of data to know that Nigeria is a mess. 🇺🇸s own all the SM platforms Nigeria s complain about the country on so he wasn’t saying anything that CIA doesn’t have in their data to potential 🇺🇸investors. How many travel bans has the state dept issued warning Americans to be careful in Nigeria? The kidnappings are online. Facebook, Whatapp, YouTube, Instagram are all American corporations & every content is backed up in the cloud somewhere with complete access to government & interested investors who usually go through the state dept & commercial Attachés there.

I firmly believe the rituals of Nigerian politicians is true and it’s to re see the masses very docile and turn their thinking upside down. Tinubu bought hatch & plane but the British PM has no private jet, that doesn’t remarked Nigeria? The borrowings, looting, new and old terror groups and activities are online. The whole saga is frankly embarassing.

    3. On November 20th, FBI arrested a Nigerian for $2.8m fraud, on Nov 22nd they arrested two Nigerians for $3.2m fraud in the same state here. Daily kidnappings, no world class health care system, serious looting yet a musician who by the way as an American has his first amendment right to free speech is the problem of Nigerians? It’s bizarre. The looters have blowed the dust of zombie on the masses.

    1. Why would they cancel his show because he said.
Vindictive enforcement of the law or vindictive use of State power diminishes the respect for both the law and State power.
That is what he has just done - to further diminish and satirize State power.
The State just provided fodder for more jokes about its power.
They should have used the opportunity and his subsequent post to market the economy.
But then somethings are HARD to sell.
And they know it more than us who defend their actions and inactions most.
Meanwhile, how are prices of staple food at your ends?

  8. I don't know If some Nigerians reason upside down. Davido is the top 1% social class in Nigeria. He lives in a bubble and can say basically lie and say everything is fine. He would have nothing to lose and much to gain saying that. For him to actually speak like he is completely one of us, affected by the current economic turmoil, is something to be commended and not criticized.

  9. Davido over time has demonstrated love for Nigeria. I guess in his typical nature, he just casually mentioned that things aren't going right. A lot of people have become beggers. They can barely feed. I dnt know how far it is true, but I heard even our Obi Cubana and wife are doing part time work abroad. No one is spared. But, these days, a lot of people are scared when it comes to saying the truth to power in any level. Actors famz FA tho I doubt she is exactly a nice person. Basketmouth just called her out. No blog carried it. Wizkid isn't a nice human. And his current music isn't so good. But he has toxic and loud fans who ve turned him to God such that other celebs are kissing his ring to find favour b4 his fans. Market .ust sell. So u can imagine what it means to speak truth to government. Its like suicide. Especially a govt that hates truth and wouldn't care to do anything to muzzle people from speaking it in order to look good. No doubt, Tinubu is working hard. But right now, the effects he expects from his reforms have not cascaded on people positively. There is suffering in d land. People are scared to speak. And will run from you is you do. Davido should just apologise so they leave him be. Nobody fights God or government and wins. He has enough problems of his own. He should choose his battles wisely.
