The weekend is here, International Fixtures are over for now and Club football is back on our screens. I am sure we are all excited, right? There are loads of matches across Europe this weekend but we shall pay a special attention on today's matches. In England, Chelsea will be traveling to Leicester in the lunch time kickoff. Chelsea are expected to get all three points from this fixture as Leicester hasn't been in good form of late, their struggles have continued and I don't see them getting a point against Chelsea today except the Blues capitulates. The biggest match of the day, perhaps this weekend in the EPL is the match up between Manchester City and Tottenham. Both teams have not been having it great accross all fronts, for the first time in Pep's career, his team has lost four games straight and will this make it five? Time certainly will tell. Tottenham hasn't been brilliant as well, their inconsistencies has been much this season, it's beginning to look more like a tupsy tuvry season for them but recent history has proven that Spurs are usually a hard nut to crack for the Citizens. This month has been filled with so much terrible news of deaths but we give God all the Glory.
ReplyDeleteMy first cousin died two weeks ago at the age of 50 and her mother who happens to be my mum's elder sister died 3 years ago.
A friend to my late dad's friend died last Sunday. My mum was trying to called this my dad's friend to extend her condolences but no response, only to be told the man died on Thursday and he has been buried according to Islamic rites. This man only complained of waist pain ooh.
Two friends gone within a week.

THE FISH AND THE BIRD

One day, a bird flew down to the river and began to drink. Suddenly, a fish emerged from the water and crawled on top of a leaf. It said to the bird.
"We, the aquatic animals are far more blessed than you all that live on land and in air. We never get thirsty at all. We never worry about taking a bath. We don't get disturbed by the rain. And we also don't have to deal with those silly humans that hunt you guys for food"
The bird scoffed and whistled.
"Oh, little fish... You brag more than a mouse on cheese. If I remember correctly, humans also hunt you guys for food. So don't act like you all are some special creatures in the kingdom. We are all special and unique in our own way!"
The fish shrugged nonchalantly and said.
"Did I also mention that the underwater actually looks and feels like heaven? It's very warm, calm and peaceful. Yeah, everything is quiet, you won't be disturbed by noise of any kind. Everything just seems so magical in there... I'd love to take you on a tour to explore the spectacular underwater world. I'm sure you'll find it very interesting!"
The bird laughed so hard that it could hardly catch it's breath. And then, it chirped.
"Isn't that silly? How is it possible to explore the underwater world with you when I have no gills to breathe in the water"
The fish whispered.
"Oh, it's quite simple. You'll just have to cover your nose, and I'll be breathing into your mouth while we swim together. Just trust me! Trust me! Your life is safe in my hands. Just trust me"
The bird became so enthusiastic about witnessing the beauty of the underwater that it agreed on going on the tour with the fish. However, they hadn't gone far in the water when the fish suddenly stopped and asked.
"Why do you trust me so much to even put your life in my hands?"
The bird replied firmly.
"Because you said I should trust you"
Then with a wicked smile, the fish murmured.
"Wrong move. You should never trust someone who ask you to, rather allow them to prove themselves over again before trust comes in...
The wicked fish called on others fishes and devoured the bird.
Often times you may meet family members, friends, business associate and colleagues at work place, be wise enough to trade with caution than entrusting your life to someone you just meet.
Keep your hope alive and trust in God than humans. God never fails.
